@Thenomain grins No, I wasn't Changeling staff. I TL'd Changing Breeds for a few months. I also enjoyed your antics as Vera on HM. So yeah, totally not a big, just figured I'd clear that up since there seemed to be some mistaken identity going on.

@Thenomain I'm not necessarily complaining, either. I stepped up to TL because the ACTUAL TL was spending MAYBE one to two hours a week logged into their staffbit. And I stepped into a sphere that was FUBAR'd already. Not every idea I had was a good one.

And for clarity, I was the original Constantinople. Its on my playlist elsewhere on this site.

I don't know who you think I am, @Thenomain, but I've never had a game. I've only ever staffed on one, and YOU were the Headstaff there at the time telling ME how to run a sphere I was TL'ing for.

As a suggestion, you (being all those working on the Eldritch game) may want to at least note somewhere that if a sphere (or spheres) become too crowded that staff will at least temporarily close said spheres to new applications until they feel they're able to take on more people.

@darksabrz I really don't see that as any different than collaborating with another player to have prior history with one another then having said other player decide that means they can pluck whatever they want from YOUR bg to do with as they please without at least going 'hey, do you mind if I do X with this thing from your BG?'. The idea being that people write their BG's with their characters in mind. They can create whole personalities for bits from their BG's. Having someone else take that thing and play it as something else entirely is no bueno.

@Wretched Man I miss the days of being accosted by Leka at random. XD Those were some of the BEST scenes. She called Asia 'Mommy' for a brief period of time, did the same to Liane for awhile... she was a broken young woman with skewed perspectives on the world, as befitted a low Clarity Changeling. Kinda segues into the larger peeve of people not being willing to play out the downsides to low Clarity/high Wyrd.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah... I learned pretty quickly that attaching your character to someone else's Keeper/BG or otherwise giving that 'in' to cherry-picking stuff that affects your character? BAD IDEA.

Said as the player who played a Changeling whose fetch got both used AND killed without so much as a by-your-leave for someone else's plot. >.>

@Cobaltasaurus WORD. Before she taught all Fear Wardens to START with the scaring/threatening rather than keeping it as one of MANY tactics.

I really like the idea of sphere slots being announced a week in advance then accepting apps for the lottery to be drawn. It suggests that preference would be given to the people already active on the game (and thus invested in its continuing to thrive). You can still give preference to people who have no super slots taken already, and it should lead to less complaints of 'UGH, I've been on this list for MONTHS and Character Z over there is just sitting around doing nothing all the time!'.

Plus, good surprises are good.

@Thenomain Yes, it does include them as well since even they have nothing they can offer me in the way of practical, usable advice for parents that aren't idiots after viewing a 30 second slice of me and my kids. And my kids are both old enough that I don't have to worry about bringing them to a track.

Fuck people that want to tell me how to raise/discipline my kids. They don't know my kids anymore than they know me and have zero logical input to offer as to which methods will work for them or me.

I, for one, miss the days of Changeling being a place where garrotting with a hair ribbon is considered a greeting.

I am thankful for having a Keurig at the office I'm working at. I can bring my own K-Cups and have my delicious Creme Brulee coffee all day long!
