      Noticing right stick drift on my XB1 controller. I can't quite describe the level of annoyance this brings, but it's certainly unique.

      I'm like 75% sure my Switch is occasionally missing the up input. I know that feeling.

      For the record I call dibs on these PBs for my Bright One changeling:

      ...though I don't imagine a Bright One surrounded by string is likely to be smiling, if I'm using the 1e frailties (which I am, because they are amazing).

      I'm gonna go out on a moral limb here and say: the slick-talking goodie-two-shoes answer early on is the morally blackest. It's basically selling people who escaped slavery back into slavery. 16-hour-workday with non-consecutive 8-hour breaks before going back to work, 7 days a week every week until you die of overwork slavery. People who have played it probably guess how I decided.

      Oh, trust me, I like the leftist bent (we should be commiebuddies). That's exactly my problem with it, though. I think the potential for awakening class consciousness is undermined by the fact that it's two steps away from being Borderlands 4.

      As I recall, the revolutionary leader says she's going to plant a garden inside the cannery. I assumed that meant revolution was going to take place when everyone got back.

      ETA: I also waver between demsoc and socdem on a daily basis, so maybe that explains it, but I still want to be leftiebuddies. :<

      I stopped on purpose because that's how hard the decision is for me. I'm playing the typical goodie-two-shoes and yeah, no, you can't.
      You. Can't.

      You can, sort of, but it requires some slick talking.

      I personally am not super impressed with Outer Worlds. I think the almost constant zany comedy doesn't give the abject horror of corporate slavery enough (really any) time to breathe.

      Gameplay is solid, though, and I dig the character creation.

      I would argue that he was an excellent goose, which makes him a terrible person.

      It's a testament to how much the goose is a force of nature that it felt strange seeing a gendered pronoun ascribed to it.

      @Wretched

      What sort of job are you trying to get? A résumé isn't necessarily going to matter all that much, depending.

      ETA: I have no idea how good my résumé writing skills are, but at the very least I can probably dig up my most recent one and toss it to you.

      No reason not to tie it into the scars on our collective consciousness IRL. 2005 damaged the gate; now it's finally burst open.

      @Warma-Sheen

      To sort of rephrase what @faraday said, if you have made an argument and everybody (or even a substantial number of people) is taking it the wrong way, then regardless of the intent of your argument, you almost certainly have a deficiency in form.

      In general, the best way to remedy this is to apologize for any hurt your words may have caused and to either rephrase the argument if it is a very important argument or, and personally I am suggesting this course of action in the instant situation, simply withdraw from the argument entirely.

      So. Watchmen. Am I supposed to be cheering for the fascist police state because it's taking out white supremacists?

      I'm going to assume that the point is "just because a fascist police state is taking out white supremacists doesn't meant that fascist police states are okay." But now I am just sitting here watching weird satirical liberal revenge porn.

      I feel very confused.

      Play true to theme, kids. This is New Orleans. It was a Nutria of Unusual Size.

      @RDC said in NOLA: The Game That Care Forgot:

      I find vampire's theme more compelling because I LIKE "but deep down you have to tackle the darkness inside you that you can never ever get away from".

      I like this if and only if the possibility exists for a vampire to constantly fight the evil and not just give in and lose forever. Being a vampire who wants to be good and has all of eternity (or is damned for all of eternity) to keep scrabbling toward the Light in her attempts to get there is very compelling to me.

      Look, on most games everyone is so Team Good that sometimes I wanna go on WoD and just like, run around as a wolf and eat people.

      They moved the 'you are kind of a fucking monster that no longer plays by the rules of humanity and no longer really even relate to them' from the subtext into the actual text-text and people continue to miss the fact that you are an inhuman monster in favor of playing Twilight.

      That's why I play mortal. :B

      So I did take a glance at the werwulf rules, and it doesn't seem like woofwirs are inherently bad. Yeah, they definitely seem inhuman, but from what my cursory glance showed me, it doesn't even look like they have to hurt humans. Vampires, yeah... definitely harder to be anything but evil. But the worwilfs seem like you could be actively Good. Or am I misreading warwelf splat?
