@ashen-shugar I've been slapped around a bit, but man...who hurt you?

@magee101 Oil and money take companies some crazy places sometimes, regardless of xenophobia.

@sunnyj Community. You can easily skip over the odd writer that thinks their outlandish crap is hot shit. People, though...they're harder to look passed, or adjust to the ideal of change. Regardless of the dumpster fire that is the community (not all of it, mind you!) I still adore the theme wholeheartedly.

GRID IDEA UPDATE!
As far as the grid goes, I've noticed the expression and interest in Toronto. I did say it would be on the grid, but I also wanted people to know that I'll eventually be adding Quebec City and Ottawa as well. The map itself will not be fully complete once we open, as I'll be leaving expansions and new locations for plot elements.
In a way, think of it like filling in your map as you go along!

@thenomain I agree a great deal with what @Warma-Sheen is saying. You can pick and choose, but I've always been a fan of horror (especially classics) and I love the twisting of old stories into something new. The Nod version of Cain's story just...I adore it. I love the supplements that talk about Cain, Kindred, Lilith, and the BSDs (and the wyrm). Hell, even in nWoD I LOVE the scripts about Longinus. I just dig that shiz hardcore.
I also like gritty rp. I like darker elements in rps (and more with that horror) and the ability to play against supernatural elements. I suppose, at the end of the day, it's interesting stories I love the most.

RE: Genosha (Interest Poll)
@magee101 Thanks! I'll keep that in mind for next time.

RE: oWoD - Is there such thing as a good one?
@sunnyj I guess I'm still on that 'look on the bright side of death' part of things. Still, regardless of all the shit I've had to personally walk through.
I get what you're saying, too, and I see your points, and I'm not saying 'play something that doesn't fit theme', what I'm saying is players should feel welcomed where they go. Granted, they have to be able to talk and compromise, but they should at least not feel like they run into a brick wall when they first start blurbing out ideas.
Sure, it's shitty. Staff has to handle a lot, and I know that not having their presence on game can be a killer. I still think that it's about support on both sides of the table/screen/what have you.
EDIT: Also, sorry that was all such a jumble up there. I really shouldn't post things when I'm tired and word vomiting.

RE: Genosha (Interest Poll)
@coin Sorry to disappoint A Staffer suggested we just keep it in our back pocket for now, and I think we'll do that. Should it pop up again, hey...it'll be on here ^_^

RE: Good Horror Games?
Thanks for all the replies, guy! I like all types of horror (my old post was just an example! Doesn't have to all be WoD set.)
Supernatural, psychological - I'm pretty keen for a number of things. So far, so good, I'll have to see what I can get a feel for. Keep'em coming! If there are more that come to mind that is.

RE: Fallout: Montreal
Some things that are examples are true, though, and it would not be used as something to mock someone else. People speak as they do because of where they're from. I think there's a difference between truth and umbrella perception. Either way, we're not specifically aiming to take on any culture what so ever with a blank, broad label. I was asking said friends because it wouldn't be fair for me to assume anything about a place I've never lived. Viewpoints would have also changed given the years, too. Regardless of what I'm offered, it might not even be used in the end.
I'm not sure Fallout itself is a good example of how not to stereotype, though. It has its share!
But yes, things are being considered during the creation of this game. We focus on setting, history, and the world around the players. We can't police how characters think or act on their own.

UPDATE!
The wiki is still getting an informational update/facelift, so please forgive any outdated information still there from our previous game. The wiki will be updated periodically and as soon as we work out how things will be going.
In other news, the Grid is being built!

RE: Fallout: Montreal
This might not work on grid when dealing with some of the creatures caused by the nukes, but it's a beautiful reminder!
