RE: RL Anger
Eh. Everyone and their dog saw that one of the easiest ways to deal with the blatantly appropriative nature of Danny Rand's story was to make him Asian American. Complaining that Marvel didn't get with the times and do that is valid, regardless of the sadly appropriative state of the source material.

RE: MU Things I Love
Truly epic scene. Culminating months of buildup in what's been kind of a slow burn personal arc while still being plot impactful. I'm still reeling. I am unable to even.

RE: Logging your activity
I have an autologger now that @roz showed me how to set up so I can no longer forget to log shit. It's the best.

RE: Posting Ads on Games
I have literally never in my life responded to a driveby ad from some rando I don't know, so I'm always sort of baffled by people wanting to do them -- I join games because someone I know pimps them! Or because of something that I read on MSB that I like. >.>
That said I don't typically stop people from advertising on my games if they want, as long as it's reciprocal and they'll take my ad in return. Did have someone ask to post an ad and refuse to post mine once -- that was weird.

RE: Roleplaying writing styles
I tell a lot with body language etc. rather than thought poses, and use meta primarily to crack jokes at my own character's expense. I'm usually about a paragraph, but will write shorter or longer depending on the mood of the scene.
I CANNOT STAND SECOND PERSON.

RE: Mobile phone usage poll
I can't stand blowtorch. CANNOT STAND. Mukluk is tolerable in a pinch but I prefer, you know ... being on a computer.

RE: Coming Soon: Arx, After the Reckoning
Fwiw I didn't identify the prp scene in question based on the original post, because I didn't notice anyone playing wall in a non-reactive way??? But I've also only been in one scene so for this prp on account of, I assume, reasons. My character did rp with a couple other characters about it afterwards bUT I guess I haven't kept you apprised.
I'm used to games where logs get posted, I guess; sorry about that.

RE: Coming Soon: Arx, After the Reckoning
Personally I love reacting to stuff so much that I played a character with composure 1 and I loved it so much that the first thing I did after he died was create another character with composure 1. I HAVE NO CHILL. IT'S GREAT.
Re: XP, I DO think the XP tax helps more than you realize new vs not-new. My character who died, I blew a LOT of XP on him for combat reasons -- A LOT -- and I was HURTING on buying new skills. Dodge 3 was going to cost Pietro a LOT. What you may be seeing in terms of people with ridic high skills is people specializing over and above what makes sense for their social position -- or the athletics/survival/dodge triptych thing -- but the XP tax does really work. Especially for combat skills that are always twice as much as social skills.
(Although it does make me more likely to raw buy social skills because I'm recovering from combat skill sticker shock.)

Start demanding composure checks from the blase. Bet you half a dollar they aren't sheeted for it.

RE: Superhero Games: Quest For Villain PCs
I think I'm pretty out of the superhero business atm.
But even when I ran them-- I wasn't super into villain PCs. I hate PVP. We tried running a game with opposing factions and eh. The effort involved in keeping things active without people being OOC dicks is just too much. In my experience even players who like each other can get tangled in PVP shit, and honestly, one of the worst things is like ... people paralyzed in confusion trying to figure out how bad they can be / how much they can react / what to do next. It's just not fun.
PVE is way preferable to me, but of course, it also requires a lot of staff energy and attention to foster.

I'm glad you're taking care of yourself, @Monogram.

RE: MU Things I Love
Staying up way too late RPing a scene with people that just goes all over the place and does so much. Aaaah.

RE: Coming Soon: Arx, After the Reckoning
Both of my alts curse. Aureth used to curse less but over the past few weeks he has needed to say, more and more often, "My life is fucking weird."

RE: Coming Soon: Arx, After the Reckoning
You're definitely the first Perrach. I was super excited to see him come off. The timing is especially great with the Thrax succession stuff, I feel like. Lots of meat to play with!
