@tragedyjones Honestly everything I've heard about CtL 2.0 sounds cool to me. I do not share the grim opinions.

I specifically meant normalizing the act of breastfeeding, although I certainly think anywhere guys can go around topless, women should be able to. I live in NYC where that's specifically the law.
Interesting fact: In Texas the law for Indecent Exposure explicitly prohibits the display of "anus or genitals" for purposes of sexual gratification in a public place. Breasts and nipples of both sexes are not mentioned, and due to common female anatomy a woman literally would have to bend over while naked and spread her business to display the so prohibited area. Because of that a naked woman casually walking around in public cannot be charged with Indecent Exposure in Texas.
Guys still have to put something over their junk because nobody wants to see that. Seriously. And if they're showing if off in Starbucks they go to jail.

@Silver I will admit sometimes I'd love to RP, but I don't know the fuck's going on!
But really I think at times my desire not to stand around and chat makes me something of a pariah. I should probably take a cue from you and fuck with people's heads a little more.
Come in. The water's great!

What do people think of Beast? I really like the new revisions.
I think it's fine and all but they haven't even finished Mage yet, or Changeling, and have yet to explain the changes to Bloodlines in Vampire, and all their deadlines get pushed progressively back and back, so some brand new game line that we have never seen before is less exciting to me than fixing the gaping holes currently left in the broader nWoD 2.0.

@Jeshin You remind me that I would love to see or take part in a game of Eclipse Phase someday.

@Sunny My opinion of you because of this story kind of went up a lot.

Yeah, Rose and Matt aren't working on Mage or Changeling, so I don't think one can blame Beast or Demon for the slow progress there.
I can, since it's one organization with finite resources. Even if different people are heading up production of a given line, they are taking up resources which go to the whole project and there is an inevitable matter of managing those resources by priority. I'm unimpressed with their priorities.
Mind you I care about as much as being stuck in traffic. It's inconvenient but it's not like these games matter more to me than a passtime, and meanwhile I will do other things.

And I hate the Unfindable code. Personal peeve.
Unfindable code is great. You don't need to be able to see that I have a secret room or even a base on-grid by using +where. Nor is it necessarily anybody else's business who I am having secret meetings with. people can and do use that knowledge OOC.

The philosophy that gets me through the day goes like this: "When you feel like work is overwhelming you just remember: You are going to die."
Commonly is it shortened simply to "You are going to die."
And that gets me through the day because it's a freakin relief.

@ThatOneDude Happens All. The. Time!
Just because the Prince did a Dirty Sanchez on his ghoul doesn't mean I was there beating off to it. It was all part of the artistic statement of the moment, the way he was indulging in kinky sexual activity to bolster his self-identity against the Beast and...

I dislike the unfindable flag on principle but I use it, because it might just be a few bad apple but boy are they bad.
One every game I start out findable and then only turn on unfindable after getting pages about why are you rping with so and so, or omg you are in a private room you must be tsing or what not.
Sadly it is not an isolated thing i end up setting myself unfindable on between 1/2 and 2/3 or the games I have played on. ddly enough I must not attract the popular type of crazy cause Reach was one of them I never had to.Pretty much echoing what I said there, yup. Same reason I unfindable myself.

Also, YES. Dear God yes. Please stop telling me that I need to stop drinking so much coffee while you shove your second Big Mac into your mouth. Or that I need to eat more than two meals a day when that keeps me perfectly content. I don't like breakfast, sue me. On the rare occasion I actually eat that early, I tend to be too full for lunch. So what, that's just how my body works, leave me alone.
If you stopped drinking so much coffee I bet you'd have more friends AND money.

RE: The Unfindable Flag
@Shebakoby said:
I always thought 'Unfindable' was for IC, not OOC reasons. On most of the MUs I have been on, "Unfindable" usually applied to characters who could become stealthed or outright invisible. Mostly characters whose job description was basically spying or infiltrating.
That wouldn't make sense as your character has no good way of knowing where someone else is on the other side of the city unless they're using scrying magic or similar, or GPS bugs or whatever, and even then much RP happens in slightly disjointed timeframes to where "before next and after" matters much more than "3:45pm".
You may be thinking about dark instead of unfindable.

@Miss-Demeanor I prefer "take that off before someone takes a picture of it".

RE: The Unfindable Flag
@Shebakoby said:
No, because dark is like a staff only thing. I think the thing was, some people were having trouble keeping OOC and IC knowledge separate, so they were set "unfindable" so you couldn't immediately go to their location, and do something dumb like pose that you found them. They were visible in the room OOCly, but if you wanted to find them, you'd have to actually talk to the player and OOCly coordinate a scene. There was IC code for "stealth", where you knew the person was in the room but ICly you didn't know unless you had E-senses or Radar.
Well I have seen a few games that made dark available to everybody, but yeah for the most part that gets restricted to royal flags. Which is cool. I don't really see a good reason for general players to have it.
Still all unfindable does is make your location masked from +where, and since +where is an OOC command for OOC purposes, I don't see how that relates to IC anything.
