@sixregrets oof
I love my Cpap, I hope mine isnt recalledThere's a list here, but it's basically all machines made by Respironics in the last decade and a bit: https://www.philips.ca/healthcare/e/sleep/communications/src-update
The key takeaway seems to be that if you're using an ozone generator to clean your machine, stop doing that. Now.
If you're in the US and Canada, you can now check your serial number here: https://www.philipssrcupdate.expertinquiry.com/
I will idle on your game, and you will like it.
The sequel to A Memory Called Empire just came out. It's called A Desolation Called Peace.

Woke up today to a notice that my Respironics CPAP has been recalled, then found that my older backup/travel CPAP in the closet has also been recalled. Clapping extremely slowly.
There's an index of Ares games here: https://arescentral.aresmush.com/games
If you're interested in a modern setting and usually active during this time of day, it might be worth checking out Gray Harbor in particular.

@sixregrets Gotta work on one game before multiple xD
I don't mean multiple games, or even a multiple-genre game! Another way of putting it is that while my preference would be SF (as tough as that is for a game), I'd be interested in playing if a game was one of the other genres as well with the overarching theme along the lines of Stardew Valley, setting up a colony, etc.
IMO, genre should be a checkbox rather than a radio button. I think I'd play a game like this with anything other than a fantasy setting.
I realize this is the pandemic brain talking, but an idea just rattled into my head about an alternate Disneyland MU sort of along the lines of Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom.
New cases are at a record high here due to a variant, denialists started freaking the fuck out when restaurant indoor dining got shut down for three weeks. And I keep doomscrolling and seeing all these extremely bad news things happening locally about it and I am starting to have difficulty coping.

The irony is that he works for Media Matters for America, a left-wing political activist group.
MMFA is liberal, not left-wing, but yes.

@l-b-heuschkel No, you didn't get it wrong. I feel so bad for Matt Gertz. And it really shows just how little people pay any sort of attention.
I dunno, I think that 'middle-aged white guy in a suit, blue check, extremely similar name (I thought the surname was spelled the same until just now, even), posts political things regularly ' is probably a decent enough checklist for the Matt Gaetz in question. A closer inspection will reveal that it's a different guy, sure, but it's a pretty easy mistake to make if you're not familiar already.

@sixregrets Ebay!
I was more referring to learning about it, rather than where to buy. Something I came across warned about some brands being better than others, some not melting consistently, etc. I also don't really know the basics either.
Does anyone have any resources handy for getting started with perler/melt beads?
Is Discovery of Witches any good? I'm not familiar with the book series.
@reason News that there is no news is much preferred to radio silence.

modern/near-future setting, internet connected devices suddenly start gaining self-awareness in a manner spreading like a computer worm/virus. You wake up one day and your smart fridge starts talking to you, your TV refuses to cooperate and develops a fondness for the Hallmark channel.
Not sure if this would work better from an everyman PC perspective, or perhaps an MIB type situation with PCs hunting down awakening devices.
Twist: You play as the connected devices, struggling for personhood recognition. Do you push for legislation peacefully? Or do you give in to your digital powers and conspire violently against the humans that oppress you?
That angle would probably lend itself more towards a game that could last a while (something to get you beyond the initial reaction of 'oh, weird') though the technical knowledge required would either require quite a bit of GM handholding or a fairly limited player base.
