This dent on my forehead is from where it hits the desk every time something bad happens in the world and Trump makes it about him.

Dating Theno means going to Ohio.
Why would anyone want to do that?Highest opioid death toll in America?
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
A lake that could once be set on fire?
People could see the elusive Ganymede?
It's not Kentucky?

I remember on the old WORA forum three or four really excellent threads discussing how best to design politics in a game. As those ancient texts of knowledge are lost to the ages
If you can remember enough about who and when, or the name of the thread, I might be able to pick it out of the sea of insanity that is the WORA flatfile.

Random kudos: I love Atlantis!
Well duh, who doesn't.
@Sparks: I can't remember the last time I used spawns. Occasionally I turn them on to push channel noise off to the side while deep in code, to "turn off" channels without turning them off. Having "n" windows for spawns alongside a main window would do what I'd love to do: Keep half an eye in something "in another window".
As I do code quite a lot to take advantage of the window width, I'd probably want some way to set all spawns the same width of the world window with, say, a quick script.
Randomly: I love Atlantis.

@Catsmeow has taken a vested interest in your sex life.
I mean, let's be fair, someone had to.
Cruel, but fair.
I'll tell you guys what, if Ganymede is up to it, we can record what would be an impressively awkward first meeting. Not as a date, no, but as amusement to all you well-meaning whackadoos. Maybe we could find a way to make Soapbox Meetups as a podcast.

We can start a date Thenomain thread -- have I done this? I feel like I have done this in life. If so, did it work?
It would be like a "date a monkey" thread.
Actually, a "date a monkey" thread might be kind of funny.

RE: Upcoming Changes
Could you both please move Muxify to the new location as well. It is such a beautiful tool that I believe every Mu* coder should use, and I rely pretty heavily on it as well.
Thanks.

That's somewhat the point of a forum like this.
Wait...what?
Who are you?
I am confused and frightened.
GET OFF YOUR LAWN!...
...
But seriously, A++ (plus a few more plusses) for the direction Arx is taking on the ever-present XP problem. I would far, far rather a game where the top tier is nearly impossible to attain than one where it's too easy to attain; I imagine it will keep the "End Game" problem far, far away.
Of course not everyone is going to be happy with it, but erring on the side of caution rather on the side of free candy for everyone is exciting. I can't wait to see what the result of this will be in a year. I'll wait, lacking time-travel.
Kudos.

Does anyone know which Alamo Drafthouse held this event? I will be in the area next week and wish to offer them my patronage.
Not because there will be more women there and my chances of getting a date will be higher than normal.
Well, not just because that.

Everything is a remix:
http://everythingisaremix.infoAVG is being a helicopter parent about this site.
"Connections" is, like almost everything David Burke ever touched, insanely insightful. It's about how technology breeds different technology. For instance, how the Dutch renaissance led to talking motion pictures.
And since good ideas are almost never "Eureka" moments, here is another person going on about how innovation is more evolution than sparks of genius:

To bring it around a little bit back to "good artists steal", I'm 100% behind the idea that @Bobotron suggested to steal ideas from players. And whomever—@Ganyemede, I think?—said that you should always credit. Everyone loves being recognized!

RE: Considering Arx? Consider Deepwood!
Now for some reason I'm imagining "Derpwood", but in a positive light. I mean, this is where I imagine Derpy Hooves is from. Everyone here is well-meaning but sometimes kind of ditzy.
...
Sorry! Sorry. Continue the recruitment campaign.

RE: How Do I Headwiz?
Good artists borrow. Great artists steal.
What this doesn't say is that great artists steal ideas and make them their own. I had a character history point stolen on Haunted Memories, by which I mean that my character history became a result of, not a key plot point of but close, the Changeling history. (The character history was involved with the people who killed and maimed and destroyed the previous incarnation of the Changeling setting.)
I didn't pick up on this for about two years, partially because it was well done. People can steal like this from me any time they want. If my involvement inspires something, then go hog wild.

RE: Upcoming Changes
I understand that @EmmahSue makes bank on writing those short summaries of movies that you see. For porn.
But then I understand she has to drink herself stupid for having to spend one ounce of creative talent on this, so it's a wash.
I'll put a dollar in the hat, sure.

RE: RL Anger
You're not missing much. The only film I've seen in 3-D that impressed was Avatar. You know, the only movie deeply designed to be seen in 3-D.
Mind you, there is something to be said about having your standards set too high. I bet that kitschy Journey to the Center of the Earth was at least fun in 3-D; it's all about the experience, right?
