Ah, yes. I remember the 'put everything in gelatin' craze. It hit us a little later, but almost every 'posh' meal my mother would make would be contained in gelatin for a long time.

@surreality Well if you're approving applications that have "I am a sniper, sniping is what I do because I am a sniper" then, yeah, you need to give them stuff to do or give them the agency to find that stuff on their own. The same goes for your other example. If you're approving characters that are heavily invested in arcane lore or occultism or whatever... then yes, you need to give them something to do.

Approving an application is more than just a rubber stamp saying 'yes you can play'. It's saying that the kind of character you're approving is one you want to see played. If you approve a character that you know won't get spotlight time, or much in the way of fulfilling RP without making such concerns absolutely clear to the player, you're just wasting their time.

My least favourite poem is any poem written by people between thirteen and eighteen that think their crush is the love of their life and they'd die without them. I love poetry. I fucking hate teaching poetry.

Prince Augustus Grayson, on Arx. Hardass super-traditionalist with every word thought out and examined before being spoken. Quiet, reserved, with the gravitas of a seasoned statesman. Basically every one of my favourite character tropes thrown into one man.

I mean I should totally be indifferent about being treated as an accessory, and people having hands shoved in places or body parts exposed to them against their will should be totally indifferent to that happening. It's only creepy if you care about it, or have a sense of human decency, or things like that. But no, totally, if you're indifferent about it then it won't be a problem.
