Absolutely. It's not a dealbreaker in terms of an IC relationship, but I'm not going to start bumping uglies in full and glorious prose. That said, if the 'not liking' goes beyond personal preference and into "that person literally abused puppies (and/or other things. You know what I'm talking about) then I'm probably just going to avoid dealing with the player altogether.

If you use jargon or abbreviations, and you simply assume everyone knows what you're talking about, you don't get to act like a twat when people ask you what the fuck you're talking about.

I mean I get the whole 'posing the outfit' thing. That makes sense, people wear different clothes day-to-day. But c'mon. I had to write an @desc, it isn't hard to read the damned thing.

If you "don't have to" read it, then I shouldn't have to write the bloody thing.

@mietze That mostly started because people weren't reading them to begin with, and then reacting to the character... 'incorrectly.'

It's not derision so much as it is... disbelief. And a small feeling of insult. Disbelief at the idea that you manage to roleplay without using the visual core of your imagination. And insult at the idea that I wrote this damned thing, I want it read.

@Jeshin At least in my case I tend to frown on overly sexualised PBs. I don't care about the person in the picture doing or wearing whatever, but the thought process behind the choice of that particular picture out of all the others of the PB? That usually has me looking in askance.

That and celebrities that have been... rather terrible people, especially if the action is recent.

Does the played-by (either your character's or someone else's) matter to you when it comes to TS at all? Does it influence how you play your PC or which characters they pursue or uh, how?

Not in the sense of attraction, I use the @desc to judge if my character's into them or not. But I do judge people for the kinds of PBs they use, and the people - though that is less a TS judgement and more an RP-in-general judgement.

@Jennkryst I find religious discussions with you lot even worse than constantly being reminded Mummy exists, so I opted not to include it.

To be fair, if we're talking about clonecest in the context of TS this is usually the route that's taken. An exact copy of the person at that moment, rather than simply genetically identical.

Speaking English is easy if you already speak English. So if you already know, or mosty know, first edition then first edition will seem easy to you because it's not new.
