The Metropolitan Opera's At Home Gala

4 hours of music all performed in the performers' homes all over the world. Not just soloists and duets but also at times the entire orchestra. The highlight for me is at 1:30:00 where the entire orchestra performs the prelude to Act 3 of Wagner's Lohengrin.

@Auspice Makes sense. Though I type almost all day at work and then type more at home and that doesn't bother me. Heavy mouse usage can but I'm leery about the amount of thumb movement required with a controller. That's isolating a very specific muscle and nerve. I suppose only trying it will prove anything.

I've examined the design of the controller and seen how they're used and can only come to one conclusion: they're horrible for carpal tunnel. Holding them in that position, the heavy thumb usage, seems like they're bound to cause pain with extended use.

Can anyone confirm/deny that? Preferably someone with actual carpal tunnel issues and not someone without it who says it's perfectly comfortable.

No. Those were her words, not mine.

Yes, I was wondering if you reminded her of them given her requests.

@Ganymede Did you toss the 'fat and lazy' back at them? Are you sleeping on the couch?

@Ganymede Well, the Dishonored series might technically be a shooter but you don't have to kill a single person if you don't want to. The option to choose between ghosting through the game, killing or not killing, is what makes it so fun. I strongly recommend this to anyone who hasn't played it.

AC is a little different. I hated the first one when I tried it but then Odyssey came out so I gave it a shot and really liked it. Knowing the others weren't like it, I tried Origins and then the others mostly because of the historical settings and a curiosity to see what they did with them.

I still wouldn't say I'm a fan of shooters as I really don't like the Bioshock games or some others I tried.

@Ganymede I mostly stick to RPG type games though I have an unexpected liking for the Assassin's Creed games and the Dishonored series.

      It is definitely MU material.

      Oh, definitely.

That said, Chimera Squad looks cool. And I hear Homeworld is on sale on Steam.

Don't know them. I only got Greedfall because you said it was good and was very reminiscent of Bioware and Witcher. Those types of games have spoiled me for most. I got Pathfinder not long ago and while it's certainly okay, it just doesn't hold me like those others (and Greedfall) did.

@Ganymede I agree that it was a bit of a let down. But only because they built everything up very well. It was a fun experience but they couldn't quite take it to another level at the end.

Agreed. It also doesn't seem very replayable to me but that's subjective. Still, was fun.

@gryphter If you do go in, wear a face covering. There are sites showing you how to make an improvised face mask but even a bandana worn outlaw style is better than nothing. If you are infected, it'll keep you from breathing/coughing infected droplets into the air.
