@derp I was in my client at the time so I don't know what I did. I ended up just doing a fresh install of Potato.

RE: Constructive (keyword) Criticism of Arx Systems
@peasoupling AP is meant to be your time. Work and effort that you put into something. I always figured selling AP sorta like (to use an absolutely horrible example) the down on their luck guys standing outside of Home Depot and trying to pick up some handyman or construction work for the day. Just, you know, more civilized. You put up a notice, a 'sale' that you have some spare time and are willing to work for X amount of silver per three hour slot of your time over the next two weeks. Whoever 'buys' your time has you doing work for them. You might be taking dictation, you might be moving furniture, you might be helping organize a closet.. whatever works out. Some of the RP that can come from this is fun. But not all of it will be, so while I will send a messenger to someone thanking them for choosing my character to help with their projects, there won't always be a scene about it.

RE: Constructive (keyword) Criticism of Arx Systems
@saosmash Yep! Its now weighted against charm, economics/streetwise, and haggle.

RE: Constructive (keyword) Criticism of Arx Systems
@groth You're missing a key factor here. Haggle. I can Haggle maybe 300 resources at a go. If I push it. I cannot guarantee how much they will sell for. And there comes a point where any extra I am getting from that Haggle is not equaling out the amount of AP I have to spend to Haggle that for someone else. Why would I waste that much of my own AP for someone else's benefit?

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@wretched ngl, I would fork over 10 bucks to watch Jason Momoa sit shirtless in a lawn chair and just shoot the shit with someone off-screen for two hours.

RE: Creative/Clean insults?
"I'll need to place you on a brief hold while I verify that information."
I need to go have a smoke so I can calm down enough to not get fired. -
RE: Automated Adventure System
@sparks Magic AND Shardhavens?!?! I haven't been this excited in WEEKS!!! (or since Shardhavens started being tested)

RE: Learning how to apply appropriate boundaries
@ganymede Warm Bodies was excellent in multiple ways, though yeah, it does generally fall under the 'romantic comedy' heading... I'll cede the point!
-
RE: Learning how to apply appropriate boundaries
@ganymede IF viewed through a contextual lens, then yes. I would agree. But I have long since given up on the rom-com genre for ever portraying a healthy way to go about pursuing a love interest. Oddly, Legally Blonde has one of the better ways of dealing with it, even if it does come with its own host of issues.

RE: Learning how to apply appropriate boundaries
@ganymede What's truly sad is that these movies are still considered great movies today.
Sixteen Candles: "But I'm your best friend and know you best, you should be dating ME! I've been obsessed with you since forever, clearly I deserve to be your boyfriend!"
Breakfast Club: "I'm literally going to neg you into liking me because you have super low self-esteem left over from your parents' divorce and consequent family problems. Also, see, the freaky chick can get the jock! She just has to transform herself into a beautiful girl through makeup and hairstyling!"
Ferris Bueller's Day Off: "Another movie where I'm going to neg the girl into going along with my insane and often illegal plans because otherwise this girl would never look twice at me!"
Weird Science: "I am unattractive personality-wise, girls don't like me, so I will create one that will do my bidding and teach me basic manners I should have learned through socializing with my peers while still making everyone around me insanely jealous!" -
RE: Learning how to apply appropriate boundaries
@ganymede I'm old, but I still try to stay current on happenings! The ducky pajamas thing was strange enough to stick in my mind. >.> But if you like we can get into a conversation about how each of John Hughes' movies is just him bitching about how no girls liked him in high school and how he's trying to make them all feel bad for turning him down way back when.
-
RE: Learning how to apply appropriate boundaries
@ganymede See, and I didn't even think about the John Hughes Creepy Cavalcade.
-
RE: Learning how to apply appropriate boundaries
@arkandel (Harvey) Weinstein, (Brett) Kavanaugh.. and I believe Duckie is in reference to Representative Brent Farenthold? All sexual harassment cases.
-
RE: Creative/Clean insults?
@killer-klown Yeah, there's only three people in my office to get these emails so its generally just a 'go bother someone else with your bullshit since you clearly cannot comprehend the things I am tell you'.
-
RE: Creative/Clean insults?
@killer-klown My personal favorite...
'Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns' .... just take your shit and go, asshole

RE: Holiday materialism! Let's talk gifts.
RAM and a new vid card here. But that's more like tax time gifts than Christmas.
