That's one of the things I kinda like about Jagr. That guy's gonna play until he's Keith Richards if they'll keep signing him.

This is my problem with hockey. Where I'm living now and where I grew there were no NFL teams.

When I was growing up, I had three choices.

Blackhawks(No, anything Chicago-related is shunned and made fun of)
Wild(my hatred for the Vikings knows no bounds, sorry Wild)
Red Wings(eh...maybe? but they were the farthest away from me of the three)

And where I'm living now, I think the closest thing to me is either the Blues or the Avalanche.

So...meh. I really want to like hockey, but not having a team to support sucks.

One of my favorite tidbits about the Az Coyotes is Megadeth. In 1999 they basically made "Crush Em" the official Coyotes song for when the Yotes take the ice.

I was at a lot of the games that they came in to a Megadeth song, which was cool being a metalhead.

Alas, they don't do it anymore despite Crush 'Em being probably the best part of the worst era of Megadeth, and they probably didn't want to have to pay Megadeth to use it per game anymore.

So now, for the most part, Crush 'Em will go down in history as being more of a song Megadeth wrote as some kind of pro-wrestling featured theme song to a Universal Soldier movie starring Van-Damme and Goldberg from WCW/WWE.

We have our own Megadeth story, but it's tied into the year we were voted the "Most Intimidating Fans in the NHL" based on a survey of players.

Someone writing an article on the subject compared the appearance of Flyers fans to security at a Megadeth concert. And because Philly is Philly, naturally this was something we found hilarious and took pride in.

At the next fan appreciation night, they gave out orange t-shirts that had a picture of a cheering fan and "Most Intimidating Fans in the NHL" on the front. On the back, it just said "Megadeth Security" between two Flyers' logos.

I have that shirt. I love that shirt.

When I was still living in MD, I went to a lot of Caps games.
Flat refused to go to the ones where they played the Flyers because the Metro station I took in was the same one they'd go to. Those rides were miserable and often flat out dangerous.

Fuck the fans that would commute to DC for games.
