My dwarven forge dice finally arrived. I can't wait to ruin my dungeon master's table with them! Bring on the lycanthropes, I have mithril silver dice!
I can't wait to step on the high precision metal d4 when it falls on the floor.

@sg
So now it is truly a caltrop. -
Beachcombing. Seriously instant zen. Especially when neat things are found.
Funny when the husband wants to leave because he’s afraid it will start to rain again until I found an old C3PO happy meal toy in a tangle of seaweed, at which point he decided to give it another go.
So I guess I also my husband’s weakness for his longest held geekery. It is kinda adorkable.

I'm in the middle of a very painful flare up of joint and muscle pain, but I am also making homemade cinnamon rolls now that I have a bread machine to knead/make dough (can't afford a stand mixer so I'm used to doing everything by hand except for bucket bread!)
I feel happy and useful!
And I also got a recipe for pho broth for my electric pressure cooker that one of my Vietnamese friends is raving about so I get to try that tomorrow!
-
@mietze Hooray for bread machines! That's awesome that it can help like that.
I have a pot roast cooking in the kitchen. I have not had one in sooooooo long (because jfc has anyone seen beef prices these days?!? yay pigs!) but it was on sale and it's cooking. There are potatoes.

There's a part of my that wants to fly @Sunny and @mietze and a lot of other people to my place so we can all cook and devour the eats.
Seriously, I love to cook. A lot. Having children and a partner with finicky tastes makes me so pissy all the time. Like, I need to make a pork tenderloin, potstickers, and other stuff at least once a year to remind everyone that I'm a kitchen god.

I will eat all the foods.
...esp. potstickers. Gimme. -
@ganymede I also love to cook. I am not so good at it as other people, but I love it very much! Eating is also good. Mmmm potstickers.
-
I love to feed people all the things, as anyone who has been to my house can attest! But I would happy share my kitchen or yours with you Gany, and Sunny too!

(And for @Sunny.)
The secret is to use pork, and to dice up the scallions really finely. With two pounds of pork, mix with four to five stalks of green onions, finely diced, along with a cup of soy sauce. Allow to steep/marinade in a steel bowl, covered, for 24-48 hours.
Then, you ball it up, roll it in a wonton wrapper, and fry/steam.
-
@ganymede I am so hungry right now. I see an attempt at making them in my future.
-
You like to cook, @Ganymede, and I like to eat. We should hang!

Anything filed under "I was woken up in the middle of the night on a Monday" would normally belong to a different thread, but at like 4 am my oldest kitten barged into the room desperate for affection.
Like... he must have gotten up feeling severely love deprived or something because he just jumped on the bed and lost his shit around my hand trying to purr-position himself around my fingers to get petted, writhing like an idiot to increase the petting area. He ended up sleeping under my armpit, which made me unable to switch sides without waking the fucker up which was important somehow.
Goddamn cats.

"She filled her dress like a bunch of sleeping kittens. I just wanted to pet every part of her."
This lovely line is from the book Reincarnation Blues, by Michael Poore.
And I might need to read the book based on it alone.

Yes, well, I remember Oogie Boogie, so if a woman's dress looks like it's filled with kittens it is equally likely she is just a burlap sack filled with vermin.

I was about to ponder a sack of kittens involving lots of oddly moving lumps and bumps, then thought it might come off wrong.

Oh, the imagery is absolutely ridiculous. That's part of why I love the line so much.

I love Kickstarter campaigns.
This is a fantastic idea put together by fantastic people I know through one degree of separation. If you have a lot of disposable cash, this is your chance to have your cat in a published RPG! For shizzle!

The Black Panther trailer. Looks damn good.
