Brave New World MUSH
-
Here's a fairly opened themed DC MUSH. They allow characters from tv shows, movies, comics, etc.
Brave New World is a superhero themed game set in the year 2017 in a non-canon version of the DC Universe which also incorporates other elements such as The Watchmen & Wildstorm while drawing inspiration from TV Shows such as The Flash & Arrow.
We have an original theme and encourage players to be creative with their applications; with the ability to apply for both canon characters and original characters of their own design in a world where the Heroic Age is coming to an end.
The goal of Brave New World is to provide a flexible environment for players where they are able to participate in and tell the stories they wish to; while helping shape the world itself through their actions.
We offer a variety of coded systems to aid in role-play such as scene logging systems (that post directly to wiki for you) and have a very helpful group of staff just waiting to help you through the application process and get you on the grid with your chosen character. Never fear, if the character you want is unavailable, we'll do everything we can to help you find another.

i would play the shit out of a Brave New World with superheroes MU. At least until all the TS turned into drama. Then I would be sad.

And here I was hoping for an Aldous Huxley based game!
-
Man, and I came over to totally yell about why we couldn't have a 1984 game instead.

That's it. @Roz, we need to make a game where there are three warring nation-states, one based on 1984, one based on BNW, and one based on F451; and these societies are all warring with each other trying to figure out which one is the most dystopic and can crush their citizens's sense of self more efficiently and with less dissidence. (It's a very cold war.)
We can call it Dystopia³.

That's … WHAT I FUCKING SAID!
Where do you think "orgy porgy" comes from?
-
I guess there's always Shangrila to roleplay that business...
-
At least it's not the Brave New World super hero RPG from way back.

Thank goodness for that. Don't remember much abut that game and I think i have the book still somewhere. I by almost any Superhero rpg. I remember it being a rather meh setting coupled with horrible mechanics but I have drank and slept a lot since I last opened that book.

I haven't read it since... High School, barely remembered that, skipped right over your post! Hah.

I love the book enough that I've watched the entirety of the terrible, TERRIBLE TV movie version from 1980.

All on Youtube for our...err...enjoyment.

That is a spectacularly bad show you've found there, @Three-Eyed-Crow! Thanks!

Is that the one with Miguel Ferrer?
Oh. Nope. It's the one with Bud Cort. I was thinking of the 1998 one, which is... still pretty bad.
-
Yeah, the 1998 one is as bad as the 1980 one. It's mercifully shorter, though, and looks better.
