@derp I was handed a letter already signed by HR stating that I have accepted that I was released from employment for 'failing my probationary period'. When I asked for clarification, I was told that 'they were unable to say anything more'.

I live 1000ish steps away from my school. Today I just felt the WEIGHT of our staffing problems (we've had to cover someone, and 5 someones today all but two days for the last month) and so decided that over my shorter plan period I needed a brain break. So I went home. And cuddled kittens. 10/10 mental health yes.

Well, more and more, I'm thinking about asking for the reasons why I did not get my promotion to tier two in writing. I have interviews on Wednesday for a job I am super hopeful for, permanent work from home, close to what I do now, they provide equipment, and pay more. The interview that just stood me up, almost 2 weeks ago? Called me to apologize, there was a scheduling error, blah blah blah. I told them I'd be willing to schedule another. I'm willing to give them a second chance. So here's hoping.

@macha best wishes! WFH with better pay and understanding they need to provide their own equipment sounds like a much better circumstance.

@ganymede Well, being as I'm allergic (sad), kitten pictures are pretty great. I have all the adorable doggo I need.

In less stressful news, I got my L&I income replacement check from the state. It's less than half, but better than nothing, and allowed me to at least make the health insurance payment, so there is that. I was shocked that it only took a couple of weeks.

So, the rescheduled interview from almost 2 weeks ago, was for today. But somehow, it was for a completely DIFFERENT position. In Las Vegas. In Office. .... HAHHAHAHAHAHA NO. I explained to the woman what happened, how I didn't get called on the 14th when I should have been, and that I'd been sent an email to schedule a new interview time. She has no record of my previous application and following Assessment tests, and all this other bullshit. I know I said I would give them a second chance, but... wtf.

I meannnnnnn if this is the level of competence you can expect going forward...

I now got an email from this company, telling me they're no longer considering me, and I have to wait 6 months to apply again. For fucks sake. But other interviews this morning I /think/ went well? I hope? This job sounds like I'd be breaking a lot of new ground, and.. yeah. My ADHD loves new things.

I need my husband to go back into work in person. He is going stir crazy and I'm finding that more and more often I have to fact check and push back on things he says because being alone has put him into an echo chamber.

@derp said in Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff: The company that botched two interviews is now no longer considering you? Like -- a'ight. That happened to me with Nvidia. They really fucked the interview process up. I ended up letting the guy's manager know and waving as I sped off into the distance.

Don’t send him back because he’s stir crazy. Send him back for his insolence. I do not reward knowledge; I punish ignorance.
