I never really participated in good TV. (Mainly because I wasn't watching much of anything for years). But since I haven't been RPing on Mus, I've been catching up, watching new/old stuff.
I never saw the Tom Cruise Reacher movies (I am not the biggest Cruise fan anyway, tbh.), but I admit I am super loving the Amazon Prime series. I had to pause Prime because of holidays and bills, and work slowdown and layoffs, but damnit, they're killing me by not just giving me all the season so I can watch it noooow.
-
I agree. Season 2 has been fantastic. I've also been enjoying Monarch Legacy of Monsters and Netflix recently got Tacoma FD(a sitcom done by some of the people from Broken Lizard).
-
I could rewatch Legend of Vox Machina, Derry Girls, Schitts Creek and Ted Lasso infinity number of times. Highly recommend.
-
@Hella My sister insists Schitts Creek is perfect for me with the sarcasm involved. I have wanted to watch Ted Lasso.
-
The Gamera series on Netflix is really good too. You know. For us kaiju fans.

What's awesome is that I just came to this forum thinking I wanted to ask about tv show recommendations, and then I saw this thread.
Sometimes I watch a show and it just kind of reminds me of MUDding, somehow. So I wanted to ask for recommendations for a show like that. Something with like... thoughtful character development and fun action scenes, relatively lighthearted but darker in the fun sorts of ways...
(Like Legends of Vox Machina, I just don't like re-watching stuff.)
Maybe I will try the Reacher show but I didn't enjoy those movies. Maybe it was Tom Cruise's fault; not a fan of him either really.

The Great British Bake-Off is comfort watching and the latest season has some truly lovely hosts.
I'm really enjoying the Disney+ version of Percy Jackson.

@reimesu Second-in-command the Bake-Off. It's so relaxing and Noel is my spirit animal

I have been binging when I can on episodes of Mysteries of the Abandoned on MAX. Lots of really cool places in the world.
Of course, I can watch re-runs of She-Ra on Netflix and The Owl House on Disney+. Nimona is an extraordinary movie. And, yes, The Last of Us is astounding.
-
Will second Nimona. So cute.

Also, really fucking triggering for those of us who've overcome depression and suicide attempts.

@Ganymede Mysteries of the abandoned you say... Hmm.
Also am I the only one who takes a second to think Max =HBO and not Cinemax?

Indeed.
I mean, it's a TLC or History Channel show, so it's got some annoying commentary and breaks for commercials, but it is getting me to look up these locations in Wikipedia for additional info, and that's really cool.

I often want a pop up video style trivia and details for shows about everything. Learning is engaging.
