Still can't see the text in my notifications window using a dark background, same for new chats.
Also apparently someone sent me a chat, and then removed it, but the notification is still stuck up at the top with a little '1' surrounded in red over the chat bubble even though there's nothing there.
I even went through all my past chats 1 by 1 to try and force it to clear but the person the notification said sent me a chat... isn't on the list. Not sure how that works.

You probably got the same chat I did about 20 minutes ago. The name was Symeon or something like that, might be new, might not. The chats to me were also deleted. I don't have the notification, though.
The one who was recently banned (yeah, Cirno as mentioned below) started up a new forum meant to be a counter to this place. I peeked in and it's about what you'd expect from him, including a bit of "I don't care" which is obviously a lie if he's going to go to the point of making a whole new place dedicated in part to crying about this one.

I can't speak to the board layout stuff, but for the notifications: Cirno is busy bringing in new accounts in order to spam folks. We're cleaning that up as it happens (mostly Glitch at the moment, but I'm keeping my eye on it too). That may be why you have a message from someone who no longer exists. In my notifications window, there's a little 'mark all read' at the bottom -- does that clear it away for you?

He gave me that link too and I checked it out. He asked me to PM it to a couple of people, and I've done that too. I don't see any reason why they can't decide whether or not they want to remain in touch with him.

People can share the link to the forums or even post it if they want, though it'd probably be best placed in Hog Pit. The only reason he is getting removed is because of the ban, not in any attempt to stop the link from getting out or something ridiculous like that.
Also, I gave the forums a restart, so hopefully that'll clear the chat bubbles out.

Damn. Even though he followed me, he doesn't like me enough to send me the link.
