I do love Papers, Please.
-
My good buddy Jorji from Papers Please was my avatar here for awhile. I miss him sometimes, but I'm still feeling like the Chrono Trigger princess for the moment.
-
@Three-Eyed-Crow
That's always a good avatar. Almost as good as Ayla. Not quite, but almost.I've been on a retro game (for me, anyway) kick lately so I broke out my DS and am messing around on Castlevania Aria of Sorrow.
I should really install the Steam games I was given and play them, like Hate+ and such.

Gotta say, B.J. Blazkowicz is a badass. The OSA sends him to defend a stolen tank during an attack on a nazi base and all he brings is two pistols. Legendary.
-
Thanks to someone who recommended it, I am enjoying TitanFall 2.
Thanks!
-
I think they really hit it out of the park with the single player story for Titanfall 2.

@Derp Yep, you will. You need something to pair it with. It's got to connect to something and send the signal back and forth.
At least both Xbox 1 and PS4 controllers need one for the wireless bit to work - I mean the cord alone should work - which is probably why it didn't mention a dongle. That's only if you want to go wireless.I just plug mine in though, honestly; unless you get a rechargeable pack, and a couple of battery packs so you can switch out while one is recharging you're going to spend a lot on batteries.

Huh. For some reason I had it in my head that it would just pair with the bluetooth. Oh well. I'll need to invest in a longer cord, but you're right, it's probably the better option in the long run.

I'm enjoying Tyranny. Playing as the bad guy in RPGs is always neat, and it's got a very heavy emphasis on plot, dialogue and choices.
-
@Derp Nah, they won't get extra money out of you that way.

Personally I am just waiting for Hairbrained Schemes BattleTech Game. I am lukewarm about MechWarrior 5 that Piranha is doing though, we'll have to see how the story goes with that one. Could be good.
I'm also looking forwards to ME: Andromeda, got me a 1060 cuz my old 580 GTX finally died... was a good card with an aftermarket cooler on it.
As for FF Music from way back when: This is my favorite: here

"Maybe I'm a Lion" is fucking fantastic.

Everything that Hairbrained Schemes is doing for their game looks fantastic. I've kickstarted high enough to get the dev blog and some fairly consistent updates. The game looks great and the gameplay looks great so far. No word on release yet but as of December the tentative hope was later this year.
Word around the MWO watercooler for Mechwarrior 5 is that it may be clan-based. Which gives me less enthusiasm for it. But from what I understand some of the dev brains behind MWO who helped develop the gameplay and visuals for the online game are going to be assisting with game development for 5. So while I am dubious about the story side of the game I have high hopes that the gameplay will definitely feel like a first person battletech game should and the mechs will look great on screen.

@Thenomain, @EmmahSue and I have been playing Harebrained Schemes' Necropolis. It's great fun.

SWtOR is having an event until April 10th in which you gain 250% XP.
It's a good time to give the game a shot, since I believe it applies to F2P users as well.
Me, I'm using it to finally try out some of the classes I haven't done yet (since it's easier to skip side quests and just focus on class/story, without feeling like I'm lagging behind in level).
-
@Auspice Is there an end-game and stuff to do these days?
I played during launch but at max level things were pretty rudimentary... and almost all instances' boss fights were basic tank and spank, etc.

I haven't made it to max level because I'm the worst... but if you haven't played since launch, there's... 3? additional storylines / new level caps.

They apparently actually adjusted it so that it's a 350% gain. So even better.

I'm not even done with the starting planet on my smuggler and I'm level 18. >.>

@Jaded The intro was definitely not clan based game play, was a Shadow Hawk, 400 year old mech so I'd take that with a grain of salt.
Now if the big baddies were clan, I'm fine with that.
But yes, Hairbrained is an awesome company, does good games. I'm waiting for the beta to come in March, I backed it at the 50$ level.
