They're both gross.

It is, however, very frightening to think we might have someone in this community who might, in fact, go out and commit necrophilia for the express purpose of harassing someone they did not like on a game, and if it sounds like that may have been the case, yeah, I'm going to want to know about that immediately.
And I don't see why I'm getting my shit jumped for asking for that clarification.
We live in an era where SWATting is a thing. That someone in this community may have not just crossed the 'disgusting posts on the internet for harassment' line, but the 'engaged in violent threatening real world flesh and blood behavior' line as well, is something I would want to know about.

To be fair to anyone who thinks that your interpretation is a bit bizarre, I'll be the first to say that early incarnations of this place did have posters that conceivably may have violated a corpse to make material to post up there.

'cause, I mean... were there other people who, before we could instantly chat with friends, look up facts, argue with strangers, distract ourselves with amusing bullshit, and communicate with loved ones at any point from any point literally at any time....
Were other people on their commute or going out on errands living fully in every moment, taking the time to appreciate the sublime beauty of the world we live in, and making deep, heartfelt connections with the random strangers crossing their paths?
Because I mostly remember either staring at a book instead of a smartphone, or just being really really really bored all the time.

@cobaltasaurus Yeah... that is seriously not at all cool. That kind of crap was just kicking off when I noped out of there due to Spider*, so I missed a lot. (I missed a lot of Bane, too.)
From the way people have described things, in that 'nope, not around' period, things got much more RL-harassment focused, which is why I really did have cause for concern.
Since there's all manner of organized harassment campaigns actually going around in various communities? Nnngh. We have groups of tweens trying to convince classmates to kill themselves on social media, people being paid to send SWAT teams to somebody's house, rape and death threats over enough of the internet on the daily over literally anything, it's sadly not as much of a stretch as I genuinely wish it was.
*Half the board hated me for letting her stay. Half the board hated me for 'crushing her dreams of home ownership' (see Spider thread). So it was just time to nope the hell out of Dodge for a time; nothing good could possibly come from staying around.
