John Glenn.

Was just about to mention how we lost John Glenn.
Like I wasn't depressed already. Fuck.
-
@Apu
He was /95/ and had a full and rich life. Unless the basic concept of death is enough to throw you into depression (and hey, it is for some), this is kind of the textbook example of a life worth saluting rather than mourning like an unforeseen tragedy.

I am glad he got to lead the life he did. He was an inspiration to so many and got to do so many awesome things. Definitely reason to celebrate.
-
@Apu
He punched a paparazzi reporter. Always my hero.
-
@Thenomain That was Buzz Aldrin.

Astronauts of all nations hold a special place in my heart. Often the best of the best, willing to literally put their lives on the line for their country's prestige, or science, and the focus of so many hopes and dreams.
I am glad he died on earth of natural causes after a long full life.

@Apu
Yeah. He and the rest of his team were pretty amazing people. Space exploration is amazing, full stop.
I've been rolling over what I wrote to you since hitting return, basically. Thanks for not telling me to shut my unsympathetic face up. I could have said it a lot better than I did.

Nah, you're fine. It's all good in the hood... or whatever it is the kids say, now adays.

Nooo...Mr. Seaver!

This year really needs to stop, now.
-
Nothing can stop the Kirk Cameron now.
-
@Misadventure Cue more volumes of that crazy end times book and movie series, I guess. And more bananas. But really nothing is more bananas than this.
-
For fuck's sake, 2016. There are only 17 days left. Give it a fucking rest already.
