If we're talking, like, magical timeline duplicates... now, that's a question that gets into the teleporter paradox. If I go into a machine, Scotty vaporizes me, and then I come back together on the other side, am I still me? If yes, what if he saves the data and pops out another of me? If no, that implies either I stop existing when my component atoms are replaced--which happens every few years--or when my consciousness stops functioning--which implies I did die during my appendectomy (or, rather, he died, I started existing when the anaesthesia wore off.) Do "I", in a discrete sense, actually exist, or am I just a collection of processes that shuffle around in the same general vicinity for a few decades, and if so, isn't a second identical bundle of processes just "more" of me?
Did you seriously just take a smut thread and turn it into a discourse on the problem of personal identity?
Fucking hell. Go read some Parfit and get out of here, nerd.
If you can answer whether duplicate sex is masturbation or incest without defining the self, then go ahead.
Maybe considering the ethical and philosophical implications of weird sex scenarios is my fetish. Ever think of that?

The problem is, everyone asks the wrong question. They want to know which it IS, instead of which is more WrongFun, and therefore, more horny.
-
@insomniac7809 I'm into it.

Given the really weird questions that identical twins get asked about sharing girlfriends/boyfriends, ect. I would say that possibly this is a specific fetish for a lot of people (having sex with twins/clones, though I guess maybe not so much MZ twins having sex with each other, though I'm sure like every other thing there's plenty of fetish porn/stories about that too). I try to plug my ears and go la la la la la a lot though. But literally I have had people ask my boys that in front of me "Do you guys want to share a girlfriend?". It shouldn't have surprised me considering how many other weird/inappropriate things get asked about twins all the time but it totally did.
-
@mietze I'm totally one of those people, though I've never met any identical twins and had the opportunity to talk with them in such a candid manner.
-
@Ghost kind of a shame that this type of things happens, because in rp on muds the emotes can target and when they do the other person sees you/your/yours, so coming over to mushes after a long career mudding, getting things in that person rather than talking third person is just more comfortable and normal, and has nothing to do with an ic/ooc line. I blame armageddon and evolution of esos for making you and your the norm and third person feel lime the other player may be talking about a different character than mine.

I have played on a couple of MUDs where you had to be careful about using 'you' in a custom emote, since there was also a coded emote system to input character name and it output 'you' to the receiving character. a few times stealthed people would assume they had been seen and just murderhobo the fuck out of someone and technically they were justified.
-
@magee101 yeah, maybe don't open with it. I'm sure not every person is gonna feel that way, but it can come across as you being pretty inappropriate.

I'm kinkshaming you right now.
-
@Rinel Is kinkshaming your kink?
-
@magee101 thΓ€t's what I mean, arm and eoe havr those systems, I meant that seeing you rather than her was the comfort zone with that person emote system, and that it is a shame people in mushing seem to generally see it as a personal thing or breach of an ic/ooc line.

During a body swap scenario, to what extent is consent held by the body's current inhabitant vs the original owner?
-
@insomniac7809 I have seen this come up. Like, in seriousness. Not on a sex game.
...I need more liquor.

I apologize if the question is tongue in cheek since I'll answer it seriously. Well, as seriously as the hilariousness of the topic warrants at any rate.
The only consent that really matters is the OOC kind. If the other player isn't into it then ABORT ABORT.
IC consent in general is a different issue so I'll just say that depends on the game and leave it there.

Shh, we've stopped talking about TS and we're just talking about sex in general now. Physically impossible sex, but sex none-the-less.
-
@Tinuviel Are you saying my original mention of TS involving the characters' own clones was deemed so vanilla within a few posts that the whole thing had to be taken to another level?
Stay classy, MSB.
