They didn't need any more proof than him admitting he chucked Aunt Liza through the moon door.
If Arya didn't do it, Bronze Royce would have.
-
@Kanye-Qwest I don't know what his plan was. The guy always had a plan, but what was he trying to do?
Even if everything went the way he wanted he got Sansa to kill Arya and denounce Jon. Let's also say the northern Lords went along with this.
It still left him with a huge horde of ice zombies about to come down and kill everything, he's just basically removed the most competent and experienced leader who can fight them, and there are two more Queens (and I guess a King with a huge fleet) on the board with far superior resources than his own who aren't the undead hordes' first target to deal with afterwards.
What's the endgame? Chaos isn't a magic hat, you still need to stack the odds in your favor.
-
@Arkandel Dude, I can't answer for the shitty scriptwriting this season had. Established characters basically lost all their good sense, and we just kind of had to shrug and go with it, because dragons are cool.
-
@Wizz Yup, that's my gripe with it. It skipped the step where we thought the Stark children could work together, but were in doubt over whether they would or not.
-
Since we don't know what the dragon's post mortem name is supposed to be, what should we call it?
I propose we call it Blue Eyes White Dragon.
-
@Lain The Night King rides the Night Dragon, obv.
-
I know it's a boy dragon, but I keep referring to it as Sindragosa and the Night King as the Lich King right now.....
-
So did Hodor die again or what?
-
@Lain Blue Eyes Wight Dragon, obviously
-
Are these spoilers what I deserve, for not watching GoT?
I plan to, one day. But I started with the books first and I want to end with the books first.
-
Good luck with that!

@Kanye-Qwest I don't know what his plan was. The guy always had a plan, but what was he trying to do?
I would bank on it having something to do with taking over yon floating wonderland of splat and marrying Sansa once she was installed as head of Winterfell, frankly.
He clued it he may have to sow distrust amongst the siblings once Bran repeated his own quote back to him, after all, and might know more still. That bit I would bank on being buckets of CYA. Bran didn't want to be lord of Winterfell any longer; he had his own gig. That leaves it between the girls. He has sway over one of the girls as it is, and it isn't the one who just turned up as a magic death machine. Giving the magic death machine a reason to come after Sansa in some fashion gives Sansa reason to suspect -- and potentially dispatch -- her sister, or bind herself even more closely to her 'mentor' than to her kin.

@Kanye-Qwest one day. surely, surely there will be more books one day.

@Thenomain I did! I already read them all. All the books, ever.

Oh, honey.
Well, maybe GRRM will live.
They'll put his head in a jar, next to Walt Disney. We'll get our final books. Because of the plotlines and characters the show skipped or never included that I'd like to see what GRR intended no matter what folks think of his writing.
-
Speaking of heads in jars, there is a distinct reason I enjoyed Agents of Shield entirely too much this season. (Y'all can send a few spare Zach McGowans out this way if you get an overflow, guys, I'm super charitable that way. )
-
@surreality AoS is amazing. That last season was by far its best - I feel it's gotten a bad reputation because of the original first half of a season 1 which was very much monster-of-the-week-ish, but it's so good.
Oh and...
@Lain The Night King rides the Night Dragon, obv.
Is it just me theorycrafting or should the Night King not even bother much with fighting the North at the moment? He has a flying mount, so what's keeping him from travelling all over Westeros at the sites of all these battles and every graveyard he can find to resurrect everyone who's ever died, creating a bunch of fresh armies to wage total war across the entire continent?

@Arkandel Production budgets.
