One of my coworkers and I realized today that we actually first met at my first job when I first moved to the Seattle area and got a job as a toddler/preschool teacher. She was in one of the classes (though I don't think she was in my specific class, there was a lot of crossover)--as a student!
Mind blown. Though now I regret the fact that I'm pretty sure I got rid of my first job scrapbook/mementos because it would be really awesome to be able see if my coworker is in any of the pics so I could text her them and freak us both out. -
By the end of today, I should be in my new home, and away from the BS of this one.
Pray for me, y'all.
ETA: I was wrong. So very, very wrong. Male roommate - who has been rushing the whole thing, threw a mantrum over the ratchet straps I had to hold the mattress atop my car. Refused to help me with the mattress if I tried to use it. (I am too smol to move the mattress alone)
So I went out and rented a Uhaul I couldn't really afford to rent at this point. He shoved all of my things in there, including food from the freezer in an insulated bag. ...and then decided he was too tired to continue, and went to lay down. The truck was supposed to be back last night, but he 'hurt too much' (Mind y'all, I've got an auto immune condition - my vertebrae are literally trying to become one solid bone. Pain is something I know). So I extended the rental with more money I couldn't afford, leaving me pennies in my bank account, but female roommate reimbursed me the extended cost, at least, because they quit on me, not the other way around.
Meanwhile, My mattress, my clothes, my INSULIN - its either in the truck, or in my car at the Uhaul place, or at the new place already. So I get female roommate to take me to my car, so I can at least get the necessities to sleep on their old bed that they will put in my old room as a guest room.
I had to ask him to get my frozen food out of the Uhaul, and put it back in the freezer. He got the bag out, and actually asked me if it needed to go back in the freezer right away, or if it could chill in the AC. ...I can't, y'all.

I am in new place, and my week of being alone here is coming to an end. My friend who is the reason I needed to find a 2 bedroom is moving in on Monday.. and has quit the job she got here in my town which was why she needed to move /here/.
She has another job, remote, pays better, it just..boggles my mind. But she will be here! Logan will be ECSTATIC, because he adores her, and I can finally have plans to arrange things in the living room, etc.

I've had kind of a shitty morning so I downloaded a new (to me, old to the world at large) f2p mmo through Steam and connected to play a bit. When I went to logout, it turned out the game has one of those 'sit there for 20 seconds to logout' mechanics so okay, whatever, the game didn't suck and I glanced at the chat window for the first time and had to laugh.
Instead of the usual toxic fuckery, or characters my PC can't decipher, it was literally four or five parents arguing over who had the best gamer kids. Not in a shitty mean way, but a lulzy cute way, with someone even being all, 'HA! My daughter would CREAM your son!' I don't know why I found it so fucking cute but I really, really did. It was like kindergarteners telling each other, 'My dad can kick your dad's butt!'
I think I'm going to chuckle about this every time it pops into my head forever and a day.

Someone I met on Twitch's daughter was missing for a week. She was found and is coming home. I was so scared he'd be given bad news, or, at the very least, never find out where she was, but someone tipped off the proper people and they found her.
