In 12 days I move into my shiny new apartment! I have two roommates that I have a pretty active social life with so far. The apartment is nice and the area we're moving to is pretty cool.

(It is RIGHT NEXT to a Rolled Ice Cream and Boba place!! Also tacos.)

My mom.

She's awesome and we have a great relationship these days. We haven't always, but as the years pass it gets better and better. The more I work at being present with her where she is, and working on understanding her for who she IS, not who I think she SHOULD be (as a mom), the better our relationship gets. I am so, so, so glad I was able to get my headspace in line enough to enjoy her for her. I'm a lucky duck.

Celebrating my 18th Anniversary to the dude I met in the bank on Shadowrun Seattle MUSH 23 years ago (and TSed the shit out of like that afternoon, lol). Not too shabby. I think there are something like at least 10+ teens alive today due to SR Seattle! I still remember trying to explain how we met to mundane people (this was before the advent of online dating!) and I remember my dad stopping me and saying "you know, maybe I do not need to know."

I have friends (including on this board) in the mushing community that have known us both even before we got together and shared that journey with us. So here's to a couple of decades of great friends as well, and hoping for a couple of more.

My Gotham City Chronicles KS finally came today!

@ZombieGenesis Mine came about a week or so ago! Need to play it more than the once I have since I now understand the rules a bit better. We messed up and Red Hood wiped me out with the Minigun in like 3 turns.

ADHD medication.

I'm only on the first day of dosage testing, and my dose is still super-minimal, but I can feel my brain shifting gears. I was able to (mostly) focus in an hour and a half long meeting this morning; I did drift twice when a chance comment set my brain a-wandering into unrelated things for like 5-6 minutes, but I didn't have to dig my fingernails into the palm of my hand to stay focused!

And then I actually cleaned and organized my desk!

(Sadly, I can already feel it fading a bit, and I don't get to take another dose for two and a half hours...)

But just... holy shit! Is this what brains are supposed to be like?? Because even this little taste of partial baseline human functionality is amazing!

I just learned something mind-blowing - although admittedly it has no real relevance to my life, unless I go to a convention and meet the guy.

My 11th great grandfather is a fellow named John Harington, who many people credit with the invention of the flush toilet.

You know who else is a direct descendant of John Harrington?
