You had debates? I thought Americans had given up debates decades ago in favour of joint press releases?

Candidates, maybe. Many actual Americans actually enjoy debating politics civilly. Unsurprisingly, I take the side of robot overlords.

I'm holding out for rule by oversized hyperintelligent ants.

I love that instead of the debate I watched Scooby Doo meets Batman, ahhh childhood nostalgia.
I also fear I choose the more intellectually fulfilling option as well. -

My battery on my car is dead. I put a thing on Facebook. A co-worker saw it and took it upon herself to find a solution for me to get through until payday, at some considerable effort on her part. Asking around and stuff. I am now okay, because she went out of her way to be kind.
I work with the best people.

I, for one, welcome our ant overlords.

It's debatable.

I'd like to see some facts on that.

Why can't we just have a fact free debate?
-
What, another one? Didn't all y'all just have three?

The vendors of my greatest hooch ever just brought the big guns out to bear in an attempt to sell me more:
This nice young lady got in touch with me on WeChat to encourage me to join in her employer's newest promotion. She even spoke English (sort of)!
Sadly, I'm too cynical to fall for the obvious pandering, although I'll be buying more of their booze because it's just that good.

Radio Drama.
I don't care if I'm listening to it as podcasts, it's very clearly radio drama. Some of the stuff that's out there is amazing.
I'm listening to:
- Anything from the "Welcome to Nightvale" group.
- "Black Jack" Justice (no, he's not black)
- Ars Paradoxica
- Our Fair City
- The Bright Sessions
- Wolf 359
Non-drama (more legitimate podcasts):
- Myths and Legends (amazing work!)
- Science Vs.
You?

I tried really hard to listen to game design podcasts.

I find game design easier to read in small bits where it can have focus, not rambling. Rambling game design is hard to listen to. And so:

Now that's what I am talking about! Focused, written, no obligation to fill an hour whether you have material or not.

Tonight I am going to be going out with my boys, both of whom are adults, and we're going to be going out for a little bit. I love it when we do stuff together, even if it's something as simple as just walking to the store, and I know tonight will be fun.

Took my mini-me to Edventure for their Halloween Hoopla event (because trick or treating door-to-door in a state that voted for Trump is dangerous) and when we got home she said 'On a scale of one to ten this night was THE BEST NIGHT EVER!!' and so I win everything. Life is good.

Took the eldest spawn to Howl-O-Scream again this year, third year running! Its damn near a mother/son tradition now! Even got some pictures and videos and posted them to Facebook. Just enjoying the fact that no matter how much my eldest and I bicker, we can still enjoy the fuck out of some haunted houses and theme park food together.
