MSB alias/username
-
So, why did you pick whatever alias/username you're using for MSB?
For example 'Arkandel' is my handle online for a bunch of things, and it hails from one of my earliest AD&D characters - he was a non too bright Elven gladiator who really wanted to take back Myth Drannor.
What's your excuse?

Not a lot of depth to mine. Ghost is short, sweet, and I've used the word in numerous ways in RL tabletop games. I also like the band Ghost...and it wasn't already taken.

I needed a name one time and I had just read Terry Pratchet's Sourcery, and it was fresh on my mind. The main character--aside from Rincewind--is "Coin". At least, I suspect that's why I picked it. I don't remember making the conscious connection, but I think subconsciously, yeah. And then I used it for WORA, so I figured I'd use the same here so people knew who I was on WORA. I don't switch mostly because people know me here as Coin now.

Because once, long ago, I had a jonesing for some Tragedy. /wrist

Miss Demeanor was my WORA tag, and a pun. I know, I'm terrible for liking puns.
-
Because it was my staff name at RfK and I wanted to comment on something RfK related at the time.

Years ago when I got asked to join staff on X-Men Movieverse MOO, I took the staff bit name Rosalind. (It was a Shakespearean theme.) Which shortened to Roz, which has become my regular online alias.
For some reason, I sometimes have issues getting jokes in online chat. (Not in the 'ugh you have no sense of humor, learn how to take a joke,' although I'm sure some people who have tried to tell gross jokes in front of me might say that, but in the 'I don't get it???' kind of way and then everyone laughs at me.) It became such a running joke on XMM that my name became a verb for not getting a joke. "You rozzed the joke!" (Which is now the top result on Urban Dictionary.) Which is why I show up in some other spaces as rozzingit if Roz is already taken. Which I realized halfway through this is not actually the case here, where I'm just Roz, but I'm not deleting my story so there.

It's my nickname. Came about when I was four and it involved a pond, some algae, and me.

A long, long time ago on a message board far, far away (the original WORA) I needed a screen name. This coincided with my starting an LJ account so I used the same screen name for each. I was feeling rather apathetic and ambivalent about life at that point in time so I picked True Neutral Paladin. I stayed with that for a while mostly out of inertia but the day came I decided I really didn't like it. It got shortened to TNP and has been so since.

I was a little burnt out on MUSHing and such before a friend convinced me to go to TR, where I made a bird-themed Changeling (who was totally obsessed with Jurassic Park and velociraptors). Met a very good friend there who made me an e-mail address (while drunk, I believe?) that was bird-themed, and since then the bird-theme has kind of stuck in various forms, in my usernames for stuff.

Some other person was Admiral on WORA. So I tracked him down, killed him, and took over his life.
Part of that means I have to post on here every now and again just to maintain the illusion.
-
All the other names I tried were taken.

I came from a Transformers game and was really not sure if the place would be anything but trolling. So I picked a generic name for WORA. Bob o tron.

Holy shit. All this time I thought it was Bobo-tron. Like Megatron.

@tragedyjones
I'm officially renaming myself that way.Altmode: clown car

It was the name I had on Wora.
Also I chose it because while I have been on a lot of games with a lot of drama for the most part it misses me. I just tend to be that guy over there, so I dropped the over to be ThatGuyThere.
Also in my more trolly moments I do take more pleasure then I should in being "That Guy." -
It was my AOL username years and years ago. It just popped into my head when I was trying to come up with a username for here.

I used to be known as OneSnarkyLady on WORA and then decided to go by a different name since I just kinda wanted a fresh start. I am not sure if I was watching a lot of The Simpsons at the time or if Apu's name was just one that somehow stood out but I decided to use that for my new account name, it being what I used here when the old site went tits up.
