How fucking LULz would it be if there was a character who was a new dad and was tired all of the time, but during some kind of vampire hunt it led to a strip club.
One of my favorite PCs of all time was a vampire who had adopted a teenage girl. Half of my RP was him spying on her from afar, going bowling, or fixing other PC's buildings and/or plumbing to make a buck.
-
When everything goes... well... I can't exactly say "according to plan," since the plan was roughly "lol let's crash these people on Gilligan's Island and have them fight the Harlem Globetrotters and a Gilligan/Skipper chimera called the Gillamonster with the Professor as the brain..."
Anyway.
When everything goes and hilarity ensues. @bear_necessities
-
@Goblin When you don't have a skill but you roll anyway and pull off a massive crit and you act accordingly (GOTTA MAKE IT MEMORABLE) and your buddies play along because they're the fuckin' best. THE BEST. Poor, poor Evaristo.

I just realized that Zack Morris from Saved By the Bell is prime Ventrue recruiting material.
"Sir, take a look at this candidate. By age 16 he was the secret power behind his school, a music producer, and sold the services of his friends to his monetary benefit."
"Intrigued...do continue."
-
@Ghost He also had the ability to stop time for however long he needed to arrange everything to his liking.

Emphasis mine; the amount of side-eye this would get in most places these days is hilariously depressing.

This would remove him from candidacy as it is obvious the Silver Ladder got to him first and Bayside is his Cryptopoly.
-
@Coin There's also Temporis.
Only an amazing Ventrue would have forced a True Brujah to reveal those secrets.

I'm using nWoD/CofD, you're using oWoD. I mean. Either way, he's a sun-loving surfer way after he starts stopping time and breaking the fourth wall, so.
And now we're seriously debating this, lol.

The side-eye was fine. There was supposed to be side-eye. And there was: there were rumors and everything. ICly, he was asked about it. ICly, he faced accusations. But, then, I was playing with mostly adults.
I later played the daughter on another game, where she had grown up. And that, in and of itself, was fun, albeit in a twisted way.

Sometimes playing that sort of family relation to old characters can be really great, yeah.

I love this idea, for the record.
I'm picturing some ancient, leathery vampire like Viktor from Underworld who is responsible for protecting a teenaged girl in 2019.
Vampire: "My servants have explained to me that you have been conversing with a MONSTR54RAD4423 that you'd met on a CHIVE. This boy has not been presented to me-"
TEEN: "Ohhh. Emm. Geee. Really?!?! For one, you need to know what Chive is, but double-u-tee-H, Vladamir went through my iPhone??? This is some bullsh-"
I would play this forever.

Cai wasn't that stupid, sorry. He was fun. He was everyone's favorite Ventrue handyman.

When a player you loved RPing with pops back up into your MU life.
-
People whose logs you like so much you're downright intimidated to actually try to play with them.
...this belongs also in gripes.
-
Being on a game that allows the players to make huge actions as their characters without making them jump through fucking flaming hoops of fiery death and shit.
