@Misadventure people IC and OOC often talk about it. Thus they get their atttention even if they do not stay.

When scenes get too large for me I basically just throw out random poses of being here doing a thing. Unless someone specifically talks to me then I respond to them. Because I am a less pushy person about getting people to Rp with me, I mostly get forgotten. And my hammered into me politeness rarely has me interrupting people doing their thing so I pose accordingly (IE: X wanders in and glances around. She notices Y and Z but they seem engaged so she lets them be.' I also find that in larger scenes if you try engaging you get ignored due to poses being missed or something.

@Arkandel Haha. I was not farming votes. I just didn't have much to respond too. Not many paid my bit much mind.

@Goldfish A friend and I are both Courtesans of the same family. I don't think she'd mind if you finagled an angle as someone in the family.

@Ominous But that still gives them gender specific roles. Yes, they serve the same purpose but calling them 'valet' and 'lady's maid' still makes them gender specific roles.

Wouldn't it mean that lady's maids, ladies-in-waiting, valets, etc shouldn't exist then? I saw a lady's maid or something as a bit. Lady's maids are a female role and valets are a male role.

@Glitch Folklore is often ridiculous is it not? @Cupcake did say folklore.

Could try explaining that it is women are favored because they are smaller and less broad than men, thus able to dive for pearls easier. It is weird for men to do it because they are too bulky to fit into the smaller places and children are not used because it is dangerous.

@FiranSurvivor I think it was more tailors and armors, or whoever else needed the skill, took cobbling so there was little point to being one. I totally woulda rolled a cobbler if I thought there was any point in it when everyone and their brother had the skill so there was not really any point in someone going to another person but their tailor.

Als.. regarding the +task stuff... I look at and have no effing clue what to do with it, so I ignore it. I'll likely just use it if someone tells me they want me too and has the patience to explain it to me,

Maaan. It is hard for me to get into Arx. Been WAY to long since I've been on a large game with people actually involved in more than just their specific circles. I haven't even been on a large game since I left Fallcoast like.. months ago.

So, outside of Cobalt (who I got a connection too) I am open to being prodded for relationship connections. I am Mailys. I kinda AWOL from my computer and forget I did not disconnect or go OOC.

It takes me a small spell to get into a new setting for me but once I got, I got it.

@Faceless Oh man. I loved that movie. I do like mafia type stuff too. Dunno why but I do.

@Akurel I've not fully pondered that far. I would need another brain to back and forth with to solidify the ideas. I have a lot of whims.

@Akurel I am a little into the idea that someone comes from the future, some how evolved to be able to use magic or a kin to it. This person(s) feels that the disolvement of aristocracy is what caused the world to end or something so s/he goes back to the past to stop the aristocracy from being ended while still pushing humans to evolve. The time traveller(s) is/are the 'magic line(s)'.

@Akurel I'm not sure! The idea of modern aristocracy is just fun to me. I'd give it a small twist of fantasy (like certain bloodlines can wield magic).

OMG. You guys make me want to make a more modern Lords and Ladies game. I've been wanting a more modern setting for a Lords and Ladies game for ages.

I am idly working on a Courtesan if anyone wants to throw ideas and such at me.

I don't think anyone would object to the layout (if you still wanna share). THough, at least 2 of us are very wiki dumb and break things.

@Catsmeow Don't worry about coding. I /think/ I can talk a friend into being our coder. If that fails there's /tons/ of other ways to get code. Like Faraday's system or we can see if we can get just the core of Theomain's WoD (I'd prefer something other than WoD) or something. I'll PM you stuff too <3. Besides, if we get everything else done.. a coder is likely more willing to do a thing since there is nothing else they need to be involved in unless wanted.
