      @auspice It is. I don't have enough :('s 😞

      Fuck.

When I saw it, they were the only ones reporting. So I was hesitant that maybe...maybe...even though they usually know....maybe it wasn't true.

Oh, Stan. I love you. I love your worlds. I love how you stood against discrimination. My heart broke when you came out against the struggles you were having with people trying to control not just your enterprise, but your voice... Seeing your love for your creations on the screen and the men and women helping them take form once you were managing your Twitter was pure joy.

TMZ is reporting that Stan Lee has died.

      I'm praying it's not true. 😞

      Driving home last night:

don't fucking slam on your brakes randomly when it's raining at night.

Gave the guy wiiiiide berth and had other people end up behind him. Watched them have to put on their brakes suddenly, too. None of us ever tailgating him (again: raining).

Either nervous nancy or some asshole hoping to get in an accident.

Just hoping whoever does end up hitting him (if the latter) has a dash cam because jesus fuck.

*whispering to self* Last Of Us, we will be meeting soon.

      At long last.

Coworkers were trying to talk about an XB1 instead and it's like nawp.
Longer list of games on the PS I've been wanting to play.
Last of Us tops that list.

Yeah, but it's not the comics' 'bi, snarky Salem the cat talking ALL THE TIME' which is what Theno is referencing. But yeah, familiars seem to be able to talk when they need to, like Stolas.

Well, I don't think Stolas is a familiar.
      Because she's not a witch.

ETA: Remember, in the comic, she turned one of the men from the bar into her 'familiar.'

Salem talked when they first met and she talks to him in a sense that I think they talk to one another. He just isn't talking to anyone else.

There was a bit (after another witch died and Ambrose took 'custody' (after a fashion) of his familiar) where Zelda said familiars only talk to their witches. So I think familiars, by and far, work differently in the show than they do the comics/90s show.

But Ambrose is wonderfully poly. I ❤ Ambrose so much.

As a heads up... A lot of stores are gonna have PS4s (the 1TB model) with Spiderman for $200 for black Friday, but so far Walmart is the only one that will be offering the deal online.

I have a heated "spa" throw that I utterly love. Invested in it a couple years ago after some talked me into it and they are totally worth it. Not at all the weird burny wires I remembered from the 90s.

I do highly recommend for anyone who gets all achy in the colder months!

I have done the 'fallen asleep during scenes' before.
I have also wandered off during scenes. ADD is real. I don't really cotton to the whole 'hee hee bio break!' OOC comments 'cause, c'mon y'all, errbody's gotta pee sometimes!
...problem is that I will be like: 'well, lemme go put this stuff in the sink before I sit back down.'

'...eh, I might as well load the dishwasher while I'm at it, I bet it's not my pose yet. Everyone's been slow.'
'Shit, I haven't unloaded the dishwasher.'
And then suddenly my need to clean the whole kitchen is triggered.
Which might turn into a need to clean the floors.
Which turns into a need to clean the whole living room.
And if I'm at it, I might as well vacuum the bedroom.
And if I have to do that, I need to clean the rest of the bedroom.

So suddenly it's a few hours later and- <gestures>

As for pose bloopers, I've never mispaged/posed a TS pose, but there was one once sent to an OOC room of which I was the intended target. But my name was not in it. >.> Thank god for small favors! Still mildly terrifying.

I have had the slew of briefly-horrifying-but-later-hilarious typos. Like pees instead of peers. That one's always great. Or shit instead of shirt ('takes her shit off' is always fun after the initial "oh god no I didn't mean...").

not nearly as much as the hype the players built up in their minds for expecting a D4 reveal.

I think you hit the nail on the head right here.

As much as people make it out to be 'PC vs other platform' or 'mobile game reskin' or anything else... I think it comes down to: people convinced themselves there'd be a reveal of Diablo 4, there wasn't, and they're taking out their displeasure on Blizzard rather than just letting themselves feel disappointed.

They should just take the Half-Life 3 kids out for drinks.

@cupcake said in RL things I love:

@Auspice My only beef with Torrid is that their stretch jeans really do streeeetch. I sized down to begin with, and they've still ended up with a tendency to slide down my hips. I'll probably by another pair and size down even further to compensate for the stretch.

Their bras, however, are a gazillion times better than LB's.

I've only bought t-shirts, undies, and a coat (I found one the other year in Spring on crazy deep discount: usually around $100, I got it for $12!!) at Torrid. I usually hit Old Navy for jeans.

Thanks to cup size, I gotta go specialty for bras. I usually do Breakout Bras for those, but that's out of loyalty to their brick-and-mortar location which is in a city I used to live in and the ladies that worked there were just amazingly lovely and helpful. They were just the absolute best. If I absolutely need a bra RIGHT NOW and BB isn't having a sale, I'll dig through Amazon (since I don't care if I end up with something Neon Yellow and Pink ...... which yes I do have one in exactly those colors).

I am "sort of" participating. I am mostly going to be continuing working on the world-building / outlining of my planned novel series.

@packrat Why would she want to get down? She is tallest of everything.

      Exactly!

My kitty, Ike, used to have an excellent vertical leap. We used to have to warn visitors that she would leap from the floor to their shoulders. She was very much a shoulder cat. And she often lurked on top of doors.

Nowadays, however, at 9... I think she is developing arthritis. She does not jump any higher than table- and countertops. And she has been spending a lot of time napping on the memory foam bathmat I got. I read that cats and dogs often like memory foam beds if they have arthritis because it's more comfortable for them. 😞 So I am thinking of buying her one.

But she still absolutely loves to drape over my shoulders. Those are the best kitties.

I am trying to think of a way to summarize what it is, but it's sort of like a... to-do list / issue tracker that ties directly into GitHub. Very handy for development processes if you're working on a project that has a Git repo.

Ah okay thanks. I'd never heard of that one before. I'm not immediately seeing how it's appreciably different from GitHub projects, but hey - if it works, great. That family of tools (GH projects, trello, smartsheet, monday, etc.) all do basically the same thing; it's just a matter of which bells and which whistles you prefer.

I've never sen GH Projects! Maybe Waffle.io was around before GH projects launched? Not sure.

Trello works for team/project management in general, whereas Waffle.io is more focused on GH. I could use Trello for ANYthing (and honestly, if I run a MU with a staff-team, I will probably implement Trello for project/plot/etc tracking), but Waffle is a more focused tool... and so on. But you're right, it just depends on what all you want. For a pure dev project with Git, Waffle's gonna do you right. Trello is more "people" focused, I think. Personally.

I haven't messed with smartsheet or monday.

@aria I think the whole 'matching bra/panties' thing is silly. Yes, for dates, sure.

      I will share:

Torrid for underwear. They have the most fucking comfortable ones I have ever found. I forget which site (it may have been Buzzfeed tbh) had like, a list of 'most comfortable panties' and theirs topped it for plus-size. And they are. I'm like, legit sad that I'm about to size out of them.

      'Cause I mean, c'mon: https://www.torrid.com/product/batman-cotton-boyshort-panty/11438715.html

      BATMAN.

But I recently bought a bunch of new ones ('cause I like the 'buy 5 get 2 free' deals) and their 0 is just about to be too big since they are like JUST RIGHT and the one pair I got in a size 1 (IT HAS A OUIJA BOARD ON THE ASS I COULDN'T NOT GET IT OKAY) is kinda def too loose and I can never wear it with a skirt or else it will just fall off mid-stride. And the 0 is supposedly equatable to a size 12? So maybe I have lost more weight than I thought? Or maybe they just have a very liberal size 12. I just know my size 16 jeans are still way too tight in the thighs. 😐 (And everything else I wear are yoga pants and leggings. But the yoga pants ARE really loose in the waist so...........I dunno. I just don't buy clothes like, EVER if I can help it.)

    • RE: Midnight MUSH

When I got my current position at work (hey guys, guess what, more 'my company sucks!'), they advertised it as 'Salesforce management'. And our first few days were 'here's a crash course in how to administrate Salesforce.'

Just like tons and tons of Salesforce Trailheads and such. Like oh my god I learned so much about Salesforce administration.

I honestly do very little in Salesforce other than manage user accounts and use the case system for tickets users send in. Everything else about my job is being a remote IT department.

So despite that initial day, the rare time someone calls in and goes... 'Hey, can you build out a report for 'X' for me?' I sit there for about 30 seconds and go '............uhhhh. Yeah. Let me.... see if I can, else I gotta send it off to <our actual SF admin who is a goddess>.'

But yeah, the internal tab interface is a hot mess, @Arkandel. Especially since it likes to sometimes get stuck on a tab. Doesn't matter if you go back to another tab, for the next month straight it'll decide to send you to that one every time you login. 😛
