This is who I work for. Most people start at just $9-10/hr, which isn't much and getting a full 40hrs a week right out the gate is tough. But it's often flexible work and from home. I know people who moved into decent positions within 3 months. Took me a lot longer, but I also began with the company 6 years ago when it was much smaller.

I probably would have moved already, but I got a local grant to pay for the rest of my BS, so I can't move until I'm finished with it. Which should be in spring, so not too long! We should all definitely get together and do things!

Once upon a time back in SC, I would host game nights and monthly themed dinner parties. I could probably be tempted into doing so again. And by next spring, I'd surely have a table and such (upon moving, I will have no tables, not even a desk as I am getting rid of the one I have because it requires three people to move and I'm sick of the hassle).

Just signed all the paperwork on the apartment! It's confirmed!

Setting up the account for the electric now. And have a query in with my current renter's insurance to see if they can transfer over or if I need to find a new one (let's hope for the former; it's easier).

Every little bit helps, for srs! Like $10 is a bit of gas or a burger on the drive (which means not having to go most of the four days of driving on protein bars which uh was the plan >.>).

My roommate brought home a couple boxes for her packing needs. My cat promptly jumped in to one to 'stalk' the roommate and her boyfriend... who laughed about it, but went off into another room.

Ike (cat) is very upset that they aren't out here to see her stalking skills. She's complaining and pouting about it. It's adorably pathetic.

I cannot offer much either, obviously!

However, what I can offer are things like:

• Help finding PBs! I must be good at this since certain people pester me to help frequently.
• Help writing descs. Again, I have people who pester me for this often.
• Help fleshing out backgrounds or coming up with ideas.
• I will help with world building! Especially religion stuff. I love coming up with religions and mythologies.
• Editing - this can be for MU* or not (creative writing, such as scripts, prose, or even articles, and so on).

I was already, legit, planning to add the 2 hours to go through Glenwood Canyon anyway. Colorado Springs vs Aspen doesn't add any additional time on top of that.)

The original trip was taking me through New Mexico, but I reeeeeeeeeally wanna go through Glenwood Canyon (that is my heaven on earth) and it only adds 2 hours to the trip. Going through Colorado Springs vs. straight down from Glenwood doesn't actually add any time, from the looks of things.

Done. Looks like someone dropped a fair bit in there while I wasn't looking earlier today. Which helps. Massively. It's... about a third of what I need bare-minimum to cover costs (the amount on the GFM is like 'will get me comfortably there and cover needs upon arrival'), but.

On a different topic:

For my move, the biggest money issue is the move itself. Like, the truck, gas, the two nights I'll need motel rooms... I tried to get personal bank loans for this and failed. I reached out to a former boss of mine about a personal loan arrangement between us. He immediately agreed, said to follow up with him the following Monday to remind him and he'd send over a simple contract.

I did. No reply. I sent another the following Monday and even offered to touch base with his personal assistant instead (who I am also friends with) if it'd be easier on him / his schedule.

We're a third week in and I haven't heard anything back.

I'm not sure what to do now.

I'm a month from Move Day, so I technically have time, but I don't know what to do from here. I'm afraid to move on to another option only to have him come back later and be like 'Sorry dude to sound like I'm looking your figurative gift horse in the mouth buuuut'

but at the same time, I don't want to push/risk things as I get closer to the wire.

I watched through most of season 2, but the changes to some of the characters from the books bothered me too much. So I stick to the books. And that's what I tell people when they ask why I don't watch the show. I tried. I prefer the books. I'm good.
