This one breaks my heart. America's Got Talent is utterly dumb, but this woman was astoundingly beautiful and full of the kind of Grace that is biblical in it's scope. I was really hoping she'd beat this thing, despite how dire her prognosis had been. Rest in Peace, Nightbirde. https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/21/entertainment/nightbirde-dead/index.html

RE: Good TV
Return of the Mandalorian is just proof that in the right hands, the really cool concepts in the Book of Boba Fett can work. I liked this episode so much it made me angry, haha. I had sworn off the show, goddammit!!!
And then Episode 6 was even BETTER. And Episode 7 had some serious squee moments where I turned into a little girl sitting in that theater in 1977 watching the original for the first time.

Here's the problem - they never charged me for the groceries. It's been two days since I picked them up, and not even a pending charge. Do I call them and tell them their mistake, or leave it be and call it restitution for them being fuckwads?
Don't bother. Your grocery order is a literal drop in the bucket for them, and they have budgeted for that kind of mistake loss. What I do recommend, as a former employee of theirs, is to shop elsewhere. Their treatment of their employees is absolutely atrocious and it's not going to change as long as people are spending money there. They won't admit a need to change, instead they just take the insanely high turnover of workers and shrug it off, hiring literally everyone for a few months until they are ground into dust and quit for the sake of health and sanity, despite needing the money.

First World Problems, but I'm frustrated by how much I still like Joss Whedon and how much his creations have irrevocably influenced me despite ... everything.
I think we can still appreciate the creations and the characters for the wonderful things THEY are, detatched from what an absolute ass he is. I mean, Everyone ELSE involved with Buffy, Firefly, the Avengers, Angel, Dollhouse, Cabin in the Woods, etc, etc, don't deserve our disdain for his attachment to the projects. If anything they deserve MORE of our love for making something great in SPITE of having to deal with him.

Hell, I was more suspicious when Disney acquired Marvel, Fox, and a chunk of Sony within a span of like... 6 years.
And Star Wars

@betternow I mean... they've basically overhauled the entire game WHILE continuing to release add-ons and dlc.
More basically, the open world multiplayer isn't garbage anymore.
Ah, nothing that would make me get it then. I didn't like the whole multiplayer aspect of it. I just like to be left the hell alone to enjoy a story myself

There was just too much fashion...
I know he did a ton more like be editor of Vogue but I just remember him being an absolute a-hole to model wannabes on ANTM.
ETA: Not that this was a BAD thing, any girl who had seen even a single season of that show and still decided to go on it deserved everything they got.

Out of curiosity what changes were made to FO76? I didn't get it because ugh, it was terrible when it came out.

I do these same veggies, just tossed in olive oil with a sprinkling of salt, pepper, garlic and onion powders, on a baking sheet in the oven at 400 for 30 minutes.

Soooooo, I work in material logistics/transportation for a major automotive company. These shortages are deep-rooted and spreading farther and wider as ports are coming under heavier and heavier restrictions for going into/out of America.
This is not the sole problem. The larger problem is labor, both the longshoremen who are the ones to offload cargo ships, and truck drivers. Neither have been willing to die from COVID for their jobs (I cannot blame them) so it's not just restrictions, it's lack of transport once the items get into the country.

Check for any transcription work online? They don't pay great, but as a MUer you likely have speedy typing rates which pays off for that.

@macha And an absolutely insane win-loss record of 103–32–7 in the NFL. ETA: his career win percentage was .759. Only 4 people were above him in that, and the most recent of them stopped in 1927. For comparison, Don Shula and Bill Belichick are .677 and .674 respectively.
