When I run a scene, I prewrite atmospheric things, descriptions of places they are likely to go, and I try to include enough relevant information that the players can pick up on and find their way to the hoped for outcome. This is so I don't keep players waiting, and don't forget anything important in the moment. I add to what I had prepared based on their IC actions.

But if they go off book, so be it, I still try to make it as interesting as if they'd done what I'd pre-planned for.

With a laptop playing games mostly comes down to RAM and the graphics card. Check the specs for the game you want to play. The onboard Intel card may not cut it. Battletech seems to have a min of Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti or AMD ATI Radeon HD 5870 (1 GB VRAM).

@cupcake My alternate guess on the bee is Tina Turner. She is 5'4" tall like the bee. There is a book about her with the word Empress in the title. She's a 50s rock queen. Plus she has a musical about her life heading to broadway this year which would be a good reason to do a show like this for promotion. Her figure is also similar to the Bee.

I've played with Ixokai on and off across many, many games over the years, and he's always been kind, funny, and brilliant with coding. This is a loss to the whole community. My deepest condolences to his friends, family, and loved ones, and to everyone here who knew him.

I don't run much any more but when I did, I emailed all the signed up participants with any background/setup info AND the scene set so they could be ready when it began and have devised why they're there and how they're posing in, etc. That first round of entrances was often a stumbling block with people trying to rationalize how or why they'd gotten there.

@cobaltasaurus You can go get titers tests for immunizations. School records are destroyed after 6-7 years in most states. http://requestatest.com will let you order from LabCorp, which has testing sites all over the place. Just type in the disease and "titers" and it should come up as an immunization or titers test.

@thatguythere @Roz Yeah MCU Hawkeye is basically Ultimates Hawkeye, right down to his initial costume (I think we all agree that is better than the chainmail and lederhosen one?). His family was killed in Ultimates but not by Thanos, in a much more messed up way. Much more

I think it would be an epic waste of all that infinite space if we were the only place in it with life.
