    • RE: Dead Celebrities 2021 Edition

Captain Sir Tom Moore, the wonderful man who raised millions for the NHS to combat COVID-19 by walking around his garden, has died after contracting it. 100 years young.

@cupcake I'd love this, but I also realize that we have to be cognizant of others. My best friend growing up was terrified of dogs, and such a work environment would have traumatized her.

Free coffee, bottled water, sodas, and snacks. In tech support this was essential and kept us fueled all day, without costing us part of our paycheck. The free "scoop your own" ice cream, cappuccino maker, and popcorn machine were a bit over the top.

@packrat Aldi does this, but they're the only one.

@rucket Both Subnautica and now Grounded have handled the early access thing very well I think.

Dunno how or if it would really work, considering the restrictions of it, but a game based in the Earth setting of A Quiet Place intrigues me.

@Warma-Sheen It wasn't a pilot. It was a regular Supernatural Episode that was meant to be a "backdoor pilot" for the new series. No actual series ended up being ordered.

@Warma-Sheen Just note, Wayward Sisters would have done fine outside of Supernatural. Jodi and Donna are absolutely beloved by the fanbase. CW literally loathes most female leads though, and they bailed on it without even giving it a chance saying "bloodlines" had a better shot creatively then bailing on that as well.

@TNP I loved it when it came out, but that was 2008. It's nearly 13 years old and they still demand $15 a month to play the whole game. I just can't rationalize that.

@Coin Also to Matt Ruff's credit, he is incredibly enthusiastic about the adaptation. In an interview he said: Well, I’m not the person who turned it into a show—it was the showrunner, Misha Green, who did that. I gave Misha my book, my notes, and my blessing, and then I got out of her way, which has proven to be an incredibly smart decision on my part. I’m thrilled with the series. It’s very faithful to the spirit of the novel, while not being afraid to change things up and take the story in surprising new directions. I couldn’t have asked for a better adaptation.

Berta from Two and a Half Men, age 77. One of my favorite comedy characters of all time.

@Auspice Cynthia Erivo is magnificent. I really, really enjoyed the Outsider, and I hope they pursue more of Holly's stories.
