What We Do In The Shadows on FX is as good as the movie, and that is saying something. And this coming Wednesday, MARK HAMILL will be on it playing a vampire! https://youtu.be/SPz8-mE0xpg

RE: COVID-19 Assistance Thread
In regards to legal advice, for those of us in "essential businesses", especially involving grocery stores (people who did not sign up to be emergency first responders), what recourse does someone have if they are forced to come in to work or otherwise risk job loss, despite the virus situation? I can understand not paying someone for staying home, but taking their job away?

RE: Faraday Appreciation Thread
Non-Ares games literally annoy me now. The lack of ease of RP, without a bunch of unnecessary commands and excess keystrokes to just enjoy myself, makes me twitchy. I am now and forever spoiled by Ares, which just lets me enjoy a damn game without having to jump through hoops to RP. Thank you, Fara!

@Ganymede Actually he wrote that but their bassist, Benjamin Orr, sang it. And it was their highest charting song.

RE: First Through the Gate Syndrome
Another thing to consider is that being first to pose means being the first to pose the rest of the time right after the GM/ST/DM, which means you don't have that cushion of time to type up your reaction the the plot runner's emits. That makes some people feel pressured, especially if they are a slower writer.

RE: Random funny
@JinShei Actually the story is kind of brilliant. They used a military chopper to drop bags of aggregate in the collapsed dam section to shore it up, while fire fighters pumped water out of the reservoir to reduce the pressure. Watched a news story on it and amazing how smartly it was handled. None of which, I'm sure, had to do with Boris.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
The only thing that ever worked for me when I had growing pains as a kid was Vitamin E gelcaps. An inexpensive option that has many other uses if it doesn't help with the cramps.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Too-Old-For-This Gamera isn't part of Toho or the Godzilla universe Completely different (rival) company, so that isn't likely to every happen unless Legendary somehow gets rights to it.
-
RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Ghost I don't think that'll happen. I think the rights revert to Toho after KvG

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Ghost I wish we'd gotten some better looks at the others. There was another MUTO, the mammoth, Kumonga, the one from the mountain that may or may not have been Anguirus, but they said 17, so with G, Rodan, Ghidorah, and Mothra, and Kong that is 8 others we haven't seen yet.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Ghost They moved Mothra's site to China in the film, so it made sense. Godzilla was Japan's, Mothra China, Rodan Mexico. Ghidorah....not from around here XD

RE: Good or New Movies Review
My boy looking amazing instead of like a guy in a rubber chicken suit. Seeing my childhood monsters as they were meant to be in my child's mind was the purest kind of joy. Mothra was beautiful. Ghidorah moved gorgeously. Big G was splendid.

RE: If you work hard, son, maybe someday you'll RP
There is nothing wrong with Bar RP, but there is ALSO nothing wrong with not wanting to Bar RP. Like was mentioned, with adulting that has to be done, some of us have limited RP time, and if I have a choice between something that will develop my character and is interesting to me, vs. sitting in a bar and trying to find a reason why I'd actually interact with someone's random PC? I'm going to choose the non-bar RP.

RE: Game of Thrones
@Warma-Sheen I'd imagine even if the producers were up to a few more seasons, the actors are not. They've been chained to long contracts for this show which has greatly limited their ability to branch out to other things. Eight years on a show of this magnitude, with this much effort put into it with travel and such, is exhausting and add to it all the advertisement stuff they have to do, their lives get consumed by it.
