My guideline: I never, in the history of ever, need to have a coded system tell me I have my period, and how heavy the flow is. Looking at you, Firan.

When a player in the NFL does something someone doesn't like, a jersey gets burned, right?
And if you're a politician and you do something like this, you get elected president.

@surreality Don't know if they tried this of if it's safe for you, but could they put you on an inhibitor for your cycle to see if it can heal up without restarting? Like Provera or something?

@Auspice A day where everything drives Schmidt absolutely nuts with his various quirks (like he tries to put on a fancy dinner party and everything blows up on him) and he has to be talked down by the only person who can do so...Martha Stewart.

Just popping in to add CLEAR CHARGEN DIRECTIONS. It will save you as staff, and your players, much sanity, if they aren't frustrated and confused while making a PC.

Love the ability to do chargen via the web. It was simple and painless, even as someone new to FS3.

@Cupcake Ugh, people need to learn that a dog owner knows their animal better than they or they cat/dog do. I have a GSD who is still very much a puppy (just a year old) and though I know my lab won't ever harm our adopted kitty, I never leave the GSD alone with the cat, and keep a spray bottle on hand to keep the pup in line, even though so far she's been very good with her (outside of sticking the cat's entire head in her mouth and just standing there, not biting at all, just, sliming the kitty like a total weirdo)

RE: Which canon property/setting would be good for a MU* ?posted in Mildly Constructive
I'd love something based on the former SyFy show Defiance. It seems ideal for a MU* setting, a single location, with tons of different types of characters, agendas, politics, war, etc. Plus tons of social stuff.

What I do when I run a plot (not often anymore mind you), is I write up the set pose ahead of time and I @mail it to all players signed up, and the alternates, at least a day ahead of time, and tell them to use that to come up with their rationale for being there, so they can use it in their intro pose.

I'm guessing the Teen Wolf thing is something akin to Wincest and Destial stuff in Supernatural? I kind of adore that the writers of the show purposely poke the bear there over and over, and even address it within the story. Like when Sam and Dean found Wincest stuff on the computer based on the book series by Chuck, and Crowley continually calls Cas Dean's boyfriend. Wonderful subversion of rabid fandom.
