Anyone have much experience with these? I'd like to get your rundown of them. I was looking at their mechanics (the +/0/- in particular) and wondered if anyone had experience with using them with big bonuses of like, 6+? Or hugely different pools (IE: a +1 vs. a +7)?

RE: Fanbase entitlement
Pokemon Go. Users apparently can't hit stops while going more than 30mph now and people are going insane about it locally and saying it has 'ruined the game'. It's all I can do to keep my trap shut.

RE: Gauging interest in a 20th Edition Game.
@Lithium
The problem I always see with OWoD Werewolf in a MU* is the same thing I end up seeing with it in a LARP. How do you do a lot of it in the large, contingent world? Like, I get it as a tabletop game, but I have never seen the dynamics work in something that scale. But maybe that's just my experience. I do have to say, something using the setting from the new MET Werewolf book, which gives more tribal politics, reasons for Fera to be playable and intermingled with wolves, and some evolutions of the more janky stereotype tribes wouldn't be terrible. -
RE: Gauging interest in a 20th Edition Game.
Oh, yeah. I wasn't advocating that as a viable method, just more for... I dunno, throwing something out there.
Myself, I'd prefer to see something Camarilla-only, advancing the timeline and using some of the supplementary materials (Gangrel are largely Independent, Assamites are a pillar clan, Gehenna started but petered out and no one is sure what the hell happened...) and go from there.

RE: Gauging interest in a 20th Edition Game.
Maybe... a game with two cities?
One Anarch-controlled.
One Camarilla-controlled.They can meet if people travel but by default, people are 'locked in' their own city, and it's far enough away that unless plot comes up, they never meet? Like in super comics where Supes stays in Metropolis unless it's a crossover event or a Justice League issue?

@Seamus
And that's fine. I just don't find it to be engaging myself. I posted in another thread that I feel a lot of times, playing a mortal on a vampire game is like playing Olaf the Hot Dog Vendor in Metropolis on a superhero game. Unless you build something that the mortals could focus on (whether this be even further segmenting, such as Law or Crime spheres; or even just hunter groups) it feels tacked on (again, at least to me) it ends up lackluster. I think that's my big thing with most games (my own planned not-WoD original supernatural vampire-only game included) is working out the focus and arrangements to account for that. -
RE: Gauging interest in a 20th Edition Game.
@Seamus
It sounds intriguing to me, though I have a default dislike of multi-sphere games, even if it's just mortals and hunters. I like the concept of the Anarch/Camarilla conflict, without having to involve the Sabbat as a playable antagonist faction though (I'm picturing a more visceral version of the Bloodlines conflict). I could be up for it. -
RE: Shadows Over Reno
@surreality
That's due to the image stretching; mediawiki images force the container if an image width is put in. If they put the following code on their Common.css, it'll end up forcing the image and container to resize to the screen, preventing the container from stretching.{{#css:
img {
max-width: 100%;
height: auto;
width: auto\9; /* ie8 */
}
}} -
RE: Shadows Over Reno
If the people who are doing the wiki are on here, I might advise them to put some image auto-resize CSS on their wiki; their frontpage image is scrolling off on my screen.

RE: Good TV
@ThatGuyThere
I haven't been watching Legends of Tomorrow. I got bored with Season 1 and didn't watch all of it. I am really liking Flash (as always), and Arrow is better this season so far. I was really glad to see Clark in the first couple eps of Supergirl, though I really would love to see Lois at some point too. They're doing a good job so far though. -
RE: Good TV
@ThatGuyThere
I have been jibing on Supergirl since it started, and this season hasn't disappointed. I'm a fan of the three new characters they introduced (and it defied my expectations of the first character they introduced). Plus I love Maggie Sawyer, I hope they do a good job with her.Here I sit, though, still waiting for my Cyborg Superman villain.

@Seamus
Are you planning sandbox-style game? What is your plan/goal/setup with it beyond 'V20 with mortals and hunters'? Need more information. -

I think he means Hawaii Five-O, y'know, with McGarrett? -
RE: Marvel Reborn MUX
@Moritz
I think you misread my question. In current 616 canon, there are two versions of Beast: O5 Beast and Big Blue Beast. Do you allow for both of those to exist, as technically they are separate characters. -
RE: Marvel Reborn MUX
@Moritz
What about canon 616 versions that exist after Secret Wars, like Old Man Logan, the O-5 X-Men and the ones that are alive in the main 'verse, etc.? Technically they're the same, but they're different as well. -
RE: Hybrid cWoD/CoD Games (ie Changeling: The...Drost? Werewolf: The Forsacalypse?!)
I could see the Dreaming-Lost hybrid working well as a setting. Have aspects of the Hedge and things like that manifest as parts of Chimerical Reality, playing up the 'fantasy land is not happy knightly quest land' all the time angle. Which way would you do the changeling splats though? In OWoD, you had the Seemings as the 'age group' and Kiths as the 'type of fae,' but I could see a combo (as much as I loathe the concept of Childings).

@surreality
I'm on Chrome and I can see them, but they're behind the lighter text due to the spacing. -
RE: Web-based icon generator (can it be done??)
@GirlCalledBlu
I'm glad you like it. I wanted to do it at the bottom-right of the image, but it wouldn't work reliably. It took forever to get it to line up, and it uses/requires two pieces of code.First is a div which defines the position; in this instance,
<div style="left: 90%; top: 10px; position: absolute">[[File:House {{{house| }}}.png|130px]]</div>
And the other is a neat little bit of CSS code on the template, which forces images to resize to the container, based on the screen's information. It has prevented a LOT of overflow/overlap issues on the infoboxes.
{{#css: img { max-width: 100%; height: auto; width: auto\9; /* ie8 */ } }}
That last bit goes at the top of the template, it populates to any page using the template, and forces the automatic resizing. It works well, I tested it on my big laptop screen and my smaller tablet screen and it worked nicely.

RE: Historical Mu* - Looking for interested Staff
Could be interesting, I was recently reading some neat Dark Age-style stuff. And as @SunnyJ said, keep posting your ideas. It's how I got a lot of the hammerwork done on Houses of hte Blood, throwing up my dev stuff as I went here.
