I'm not saying that I ordered two more Mirawris and that tomorrow I'm going to go shopping to find a "live, laugh, love" frame...

But I'm not not saying it either.

      Oh. Noooooo.

Not her Merry Gentry books. But Anitaverse using Fate Accelerated Edition (FAE).

I am currently thinking that we will be using the first three books as official canon. The game won't be sex based where staff is considered but I give no shits if you're fucking behind closed doors. Seriously.

One of the game rules will be:

      • I don't care, neither should you. (Unless it's impacting your fun, leave it alone.)

ETA: I have a first plot arc planned out. For some soft open stuff, and then a main event when we have enough activity. People will be allowed and encouraged to run their own plots, and given some tools to do so.

Right now I am slowly working on finishing out the two main duchies for each of the domains. The Demesne of the Glacier is finished-- and I'll show you here (please don't deface my wiki 😞 ...) as is for the Demesne of the Blaze. It's super slow going and a lot of stuff is going on in my head but hasn't been put to paper yet, but I'm trying to do a lot like @Apos does with starting characters and rosters. I want all of the upfront offered roster characters to be compelling and have awesome secrets.

      http://wiki.sacred-seed.net/w/Demesne_of_the_Glacier

      http://wiki.sacred-seed.net/w/Demesne_of_the_Blaze

      The things I'm doing:

      • Each of the Five domains has 3 duchies; two will be made upfront (save for the Blaze domain which I ended up writing the third anywise because INSPIRATION). The third duchy will be left open for players to create if they want to.
      • Each duchy has three counties, each county has three baronies, etc. Unless in the process of world building I come up with an idea for a county or barony, those will be left in placeholder so that players can build their own houses / domains.
      • Each domain has a "royal duchy" which is where the ruling family comes from, the duchy is usually ruled by the queen-mother/king-father/whatever-spouse of the previous ruler of the court, or an uncle, or etc.
      • The Demesne of the Glacier's royal duchy is up in the air! Because Amos took over the court by force, and exiled the previous Queen. Her son is the duke of what was once the royal duchy, but he's the ahem royal guest of the court.

Some of the characters that have been made as I world build:

She had all the staff favoritism should have been glad
But she was mad and sad and feelin' bad

No character development, just TS, followed next without a +roll but a +note

I appreciate all the support, but I agree just ignore @magee101 at this point. They can’t see how they are being disrespectful and rude, and I’m not going to engage.

@Coin, @Ifrit, @skew and @roz and I have all but in some hours in setting up the game, the wiki, the templates, etc and I’m not going to let some jerk on the jnternet with an opinion ruin that.

This is as much about learning python as it is building a world I find compelling.

Jeez, all I wanted was a little administrative support. πŸ˜›

My time is as finite as yours. Just because I am delivering food and not working in a hospital doesn't mean you can waste my time. Either let me leave the food at the drop off table or expediently come down to get it.

Also fuck you for not tipping. If you don't want to tip then lobby to make it so we get paid better and don't have to rely on tips to make money.

I don't mean to have sounded so hyper critically of +theories. I think that the code and the work behind them is brilliant. I just don't like to read super long walls of text, and a lot of +theories I've gotten have been like information overload with long walls of text.

@bad-at-lurking Announcing games here before they are at least 90% formed is a death sentence. I wish less people did it.

He didn't announce it, he's asking people their opinions and discussing the possibility of it. I'm super excited for it and hope he finishes his work!

      Updates:

I've decided to go ahead and use the available arx-code, and change the system as needed (hopefully I won't break it too badly). I'm not sure how much of it I will use and how much of it I will take out. (I'll probably remove the coded combat-- I know sparring matches are popular, but I'm planning to change the stats and stuff and I'm sure that'll massive break it).

But here's a little theme thing, while I tinker on with the NPCs, important rosters, and various theme things.

There are two types of duels in Cloria. The first is a duel with swords (The Crossing of Blades) which is seen as "the commoner's duel". Typically the Seedless commoners will duel on behalf of Seeded nobles. Typically because the matter at hand is not serious enough to warrant a Duel Elemental. The Duel Elemental is used only for very serious matters. Where two Seeded with combat capable powers fight using their powers. It is very dangerous and though very rarely are thems 'to the death', these often end in the deaths of one the-- and sometimes both --parties, because the use of elemental magic upon each other is dangeorus and somewhat difficult to control.

The Crossing of Blades is typically seen as entertaining and the outcome meant to be respected, but very rarely impacts a noble's life. For example, they are typically used to obtain an apology from another noble or to get another noble to stop trying to take one's protege.

The Duel Elemental are serious, dangerous fights, and the outcomes must be respected and can severely impact a noble's life. For example, the Duel Elemental might be used between Seeded both vying for the inheritance of an aunt or uncle's title. One might challenge the other for the right be heir and the loser *must* relinquish all claims to that inheritance. The Duel Elemental may never be used for small, petty matters. It is not be used because one feels insulted or snubbed. It is only used to prevent massive conflicts between or within houses.

    • RE: Pacing in Ares Scenes

It depends. If I specifically say: Hey lets start up a somewhat slow web-scene. It could be every couple of hours or even days between poses. I appreciate this ability to almost play-by-post with my NPCs on Euphoria because it means that I can keep working on jobs while slowly pushing plot out to people. Or I can still get into interesting social scenes with my PC while not having to just only focus there.

However, if I'm running and event or I look for RP in game with the +RP Requests channel, they I probably want a live scene with quick poses. Especially in the place of events I'm ST'ing. I am putting aside time that I could be doing +jobs or writing theme to run a plot. I want people posing quickly.

I'm unfortunately going to put this onto an indefinite backburner. I'm working full time now, and because of the nature of my job that actually means anywhere from 1-5hrs of overtime to 10+hrs of overtime once I'm actually managing full time.

Thank you for everyone who was interested in the development and were encouraging of the game. Sorry for anyone who is disappointed.
