I have 6 hours of medical scans today. I have been up since 8:00 a.m. dealing with the DMV. I cannot eat or drink anything until probably after 5:00 this afternoon.

Texan MU*ers
I know we have a few of them. Anyone know how our community members who live in Texas are doing right now?

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
So a drunk driver drove through the neighbors yard at my bf's family's house and crashed in the family's yard.... Totalling the Prius I had parked there (and had been an albatross around my neck), my bf's mom's van, flipped his sister in laws mustang into it's side, and tore the back panelling off of the brother in law's car.
Prius and van are totalled, no idea if the mustang and the envoy will be operable..
If 2021 could please just not that would be great.

Not sure whether to put this in real world peeves or health thread but:
Had an ultrasound on Monday, got told "your doctor will have the results by this afternoon". Doctor told me "if you don't hear back from us in 24hrs, call us". Didn't hear anything on Monday, so called Tuesday to find out what was up...
"Oh, <your doctor> isn't going to be in for the rest of the week."
New doctor has looked over the results and taken the five minutes needed to assure me I am probably not dying.

Writing Project Spreadsheet
I've been spending the majority of my time the past couple of weeks writing. I set up a spreadsheet based off of a screen shot an author I followed shared on their facebook. It's been surprisingly really helpful for keeping me on task. I'm most days managing to make my 1k+ goal of writing a day (in the future that'll become higher).
Below is a screen shot of it. It's got space for 5 different projects you can work on at once. It's got Feb-April set up already. If anyone would like a clean copy lemme know and I'll happily send it over.
Otherwise... Do you use a project manager of any sort? If so what do you use?

@cobaltasaurus You are allowed to tell your doctor 'No.'
While technically this is true, many of us have such limited health-care options that we kinda aren't, because if the doctor fires us, we can't get another before we die.
Yeah, I'm pretty fucking pissed because the radiologist gave me my report. They couldn't go over it with me but the impression is pretty damned clear. And what's wrong could be something easily remedied with antibiotics OR it could be life threatening.
I've got an appointment with a new primary doctor and I can take the radiologist's report with me when I go. But that's assume I don't give them my insurance and they go: "You have to pay your entire deductible before you can be seen" like the last primary I tried to see.
If that happens again I have to go back to seeing this doctor that is letting me be in a situation which could either be a relative easy fix (but I am being stuck in pain until it is), or it could be life threatening.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@ganymede They're idiots. It's an urgent care/family medicine combo that blue cross/blue shield assigned me to when I first got my insurance. I'm in the process t getting another doctor.
This doctor, didn't know how to do a BEG referral. Has failed to send referrals in a timely order, making me have to miss appointments with specialist. And has also decided I need to keep following a diabetic diet and recheck my blood sugar every three months when my levels aren't high enough to warrant it (and my a1c went DOWN this time) and my insurance keeps deeming the tests medically unnecessary so I have to pay out of pocket for them.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@ganymede They claim they don't have the results back, but the imaging place is going to give me a copy of the report they sent over. They can't go over it with me, but I can at least get it.
I am fucking tired of being in pain. The abdominal pain has mostly subsided but I feel like something is pushing a small orange into my fist constantly. 24/7. The only time the pain stops is when I soak in a hit bath.
Also constant nausea.

And now he's having movie night in our living room with a bunch of people from work. -_-
His Xmas party is how we caught covid.
....Have you considered setting his hair on fire and telling him not to worry about it because he can just put on a hat? Because I feel like that would be a reasonable response at this point.
Ugh, might need to.
@Ominous unfortunately no cellars here to wall him into.
I only need to make it until June, and then the boyfriend and I are getting our own place. I'm so tired of living with these people. :x

Woke up to a text from my roommate about how he went to a crowded night club for a party last night. But it's fine! He's got antibodies for c19 since he's already had it.
But if I'm worried, just keep my distance for a bit.

RE: The Dog Thread
Hug your puppies. Hug them good and tight. Coconut has gone on to the great dog park in the sky. Here's the last picture I have of him.
Note: I won't be discussing what happened.
