If you're looking at a game with roster characters, and decide to go with a roster. Does their already having a PB chosen have a positive or negative impact on your choice? Does it matter if you know you can change the PB once you're approved if you don't like the one that's there already?

Positive: It would give me a far better idea what that character is supposed to be about.

Negative: Nnnngh not another russian model/'roided body builder telling me that the character is supposed to be 'swole/hot'.

Mostly the positive, though.

I like them. I love them. I love them like I love switches in descs for time of day and season and weather, even though nobody bothers reading room descs most of the time.

I am that old school asshole, still loving these things.

I also think an opt-out is just plain necessary, because for frequent players, it gets repetitive.

If there's some sweeping 'everyone in town right now would notice this', there's always @wall and similar commands or setups to make sure no one misses one time major emits like, 'oh, hey, a volcano suddenly erupted two blocks over!' just by turning off the ambience emitter.

Again if I wasn't already entangled in two projects? I'd totally make a station based Star Trek Game, but I'd likely wind up setting it in TOS which might drive a lot of people away. Then again? Might be fun to set it like right before TNG.

It’s fine to have guilty pleasures, as @coin says, or don’t watch it that’s fine. After watching her Hobbit breakdown I was legitimately kind of depressed, and not just because of the obvious sad-panda editing and framing she does at the very end.

There's a really good book by Susan Cain called "Quiet: The Power of Introverts In A World That Can't Stop Talking". She actually talks about the scientific research done regarding introverts and extroverts on a biological level, and it's some pretty fascinating stuff.

She also has a very interesting TED talk.

If you think you're an introvert, or even just know an introvert, or are an extrovert that wants to understand the difference, I highly recommend both.

Just read the transcripts of that video, very informative, great link. Certainly helps me understand much better on what being an introvert means.

If you liked it, the book might be very worthwhile to you. It opened my eyes to a number of interesting things in regards to the introvert/extrovert spectrum.

I am not a huge fan of baklava but I do buy it occasionally from the same Filipino lady who makes lumpia for me. It blows away the stuff Nikos sells (a local Greek restaurant).

Might want to rename the command to +LongLingeringStare. That's a lot of information, once you start factoring in Merits and Powers, too. <jk!>
