We are looking for 8 Changelings, Mages of all the Diamond Orders (we have many Silver Ladder, but if your app is amazing you can be a Ladder), and werewolves. Our system is NWOD GMC currently 1.0 but we will move to 2.0 when that is available (Second Edition werewolf is implemented.)

SHH is a small game, and the focus is on story building. It is more like an online TT where scenes are arranged and scheduled, so there’s no endless boring bar RP or ‘I’ll just sit here until something happens.” going on.

The basic rules for players: Follow the Golden Rule. If you prove adversarial to staff or other players (Other characters is fine, who doesn’t like a good nemesis?) you will be asked to leave and not return.

Drop by! As a Mage player, I can say there’s stuff going on! Players as STs is encouraged.

First off - @Sunny -My condolences for people behaving in subhuman ways at you, and I really hope things get better. I'll pray for you if you are not adverse to that. (I always ask before firing off a salvo to the Lord, its just polite.)

Rant Time!

FUCK Open Door and their shitty, shitty service. They're the main paratransit company for Indianapolis, so they pretty much have a captive audience of the disabled. Things that cause them to deserve a major beating:

• The bus can arrive anytime between 30 minutes early for your scheduled pickup to two hours late. Don't like it? Too bad. Be ready when the bus arrives.

• The bus only has to wait 5 minutes for you to be visible to the driver. If they don't see you within that time they can just leave you, If that happens, you get a black mark on your record for missing the bus and normally the company won't help you by sending a second bus. (Unless you just missed your /return/ trip and are stranded somewhere in the city. Then they will send a bus to get you home - when they feel like doing so. Br prepared for a wait, possibly hours.)

• If you accumulate too many missed rides, they suspend your service. The first offense is a month. Subsequent offenses could be up to a year. When you absolutely depend on them to get anywhere this is a disaster.

• If the driver breaks your mobility equipment, you'll have to pay for it to be fixed yourself. Open Door never admits liability for that. They broke my wheelchair twice. 100 dollars total for parts.

• Some of the employees are insanely stupid. They /will not/ check to see if you're in an Obvious Place like the main entrance of a facility, before deciding to No-Show you.

While I was adopting cats from FACE, I had 2 cats in carriers and myself (wheelchair) out in the heat and the fucking bus No-Showed us without even coming into the parking lot or approaching the entry of the building (right behind us). I am normally stoic to the OD bullshit, I have been riding fir over five years. Normally I would just accept my fate, roll my eyes and call for a bus to actually take me home. But I had 2 scared cats in carriers, In high heat, I was getting seriously worried about them and considering having them taken back inside where the air conditioner was running.

We were scheduled for a noon pickup. We finally got home around 2PM. I was beyond pissed and filed a complaint. Of course, that had no effect. FUCK this cheapass, moronic service.

@Coin - If you have Changeling 2.0 I WILL play even if it screws me for time to do RL stuff I want to do. Talk about games I want badly.

My Eldrich werewolf is going really well. I'm having trouble getting into my vampire, which makes me sad because it really is a good character. I may have to let him go to free the slot for someone who'll use it harder tho.

Eldrich = A+++, though. And I'm a jaded Dino, too. Still saying that.

Today, we adopted cats.. We went out to FACE (Indianapolis) by Open Door bus - paratransit, for my wheelchair. The trip out was so on time and easy that I should have known the trip back would be full of delays. but that is kind of trivial. We got to the shelter and were ushered into the Adoptable Cat room.

We knew we wanted Puzzle. She'd been there for 2 years, because people don't want disabled cats as much. She was rescued from an abusive situation where she was mistreated and eventually shot(!) so she was very shy and wary of people. Her injuries cost her a hind leg. She's a beautiful girl and we were determined to take her anyhow.

We'd asked for a second cat too, a three-legged black boy ingloriously named 'Leggy' but by the time we could get everything arranged and get out there he had found a home. So we had an open slot for a cat, generally meeting them and seeing who wanted to go with us. We did have a list of four cats to meet, but three had been spoken for and the fourth just refused to meet us, hiding in the really nice Catio FACE has attached to the adoptable cat room. We ended up choosing Shadow, another black kitty missing a hind leg, who was companionable with Puzzle. We figured he'd hep reassure her. Cats chosen and adopted we headed home!

We set the carriers down in the utility room, line of sight to where we were sitting in the den, and unlatched the doors so the new cats could emerge when they wanted to. (Yes, I know, you're supposed to isolate them in a separate room, but the only room here with a door turns into a oven if you close the door. Very bad.) The resident cats were curious. I had to laugh when Dusty decided that New Cats were friends, he crawled into Shadow's carrier to cuddle. Then he went and sniffed nose to nose with Puzzle. Dusty's Verdict: "Oh Hai!". Both our younger cats were super mellow, Moon-Moon just seemed to follow Dusty's lead. Mischief seemed unworried. Hektor's hissed twice, which for him is awfully good - he's a small cat with a Napoleon Complex who wants to be top cat, but is basically ignored by the others.

Puzzle is hiding under the TV stand but she's very alert and interested in what everyone (people and cats) are doing. Shadow's technically hiding under Corey's bed but he comes out if you call him to get petting and attention, so he's much more laid back then she is.

My poor SO had to work all weekend. There was no real point to even coming home to sleep as he just would have had to go in again almost right away.

I have a horrible time sleeping alone. Bah! I have not really been to bed yet.

An ode to cheese. Smoked Cheddar and Smoked Gouda...OMG, yes please. Preferably with Ritz crackers. And I've been really hungry for fruit and vegetables lately, and especially big salads.

Next year I will either container garden or have raised beds for veggies.

GRAH! I'm angry, I thought the house was paid off and done, and after years of sending just under half our monthly income to pay the Land Contract were over. I was looking forwards to groceries, the occasional McDonalds run, a little spending money even.

Nope. The person holding the contract now insists that we owe her for June. Also, she says that the Land Contract deal over-rides us starting as tenants, so we don't get our security deposit (1 month's payment) back either,

This sucks.

Lawyering up at the free legal clinic, Filing a claim's going to cost about $180.00.

If this costs me the cats I was adopting because we can no longer pay the adoption fee, I am going to be beyond angry.

My abysmal chest and sinus congestion. Totally caused by my CPAP, so there's not really a lot I can do about it, as I need the CPAP to avoid health risks.

Also, my (lousy) health insurance plan, that covers way too little and is just this side of being uninsured, It still drains me of $165.00/month.
