RE: Things We Should Have Learned Sooner
Ooh, it was an excerpt from Robert Vavra's Unicorns I Have Known and well, a kid in third grade would totally believe this was real, right?

RE: What Do You Want In A New Game (3-options)?
#3 - Because I love the notion of a generational ship, and the prospect of in-game worldbuilding. I don't think "build a colony" is something that has much been done before.

RE: FCs on Comic MUs
@the-tree-of-woe If I'm being honest, I could cite myself in that situation. I played a character on 1963, brought someone on board to play my character's betrothed/spouse (they are one of Marvel's big pairings), who proceeded to get involved with another character. I was Not Pleased, and my initial reaction was grossly inapropriate. Staff did have a word with me about it, reminding me that the format meant people could take their characters in any direction.
While there was frustration because I had invited the other player with specific intent, I did not have the right to be an asshole about it. I gave myself a hard, long look, didn't feel like I could maintain a presence on the game without that frustration getting the better of me, and chose to quit. I didn't want to put myself in a situation where that behavior might become worse.
My main regret is that I probably lost a friend, re: the player I recruited. We'd played on another game previously and had a really great time.

RE: Good TV
I've officially been declared "Explainer of All Things GoT" at my workplace. Like, people will literally come to my desk and ask me to explain storylines, or wait for me to drop something off at their desk and request explanations.

RE: What Types of Games Would People Like To See?
Period games, basically. Victorian era. World War II. Regency. Swords and sandals. Dark ages. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Sully @ SanFran?
The player hasn't been on in a while, so hoping someone knows what gives.
They are missed!

RE: White Wolf Street Fighter
I was briefly obsessed with this game. I made a kitsune girl fighter who had a many-tails attack.

RE: RL Anger
@Auspice Yeah, I shouldn't have told her. But I did tell off the bitch in question.

RE: What Types of Games Would People Like To See?
I am genuinely surprised there hasn't been an Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra style game yet.

RE: Roz's Playlist
I started to write something sassy about Aleksei and then realized it would sound really creepy so just consider this as "Cupcake officially says something sassy but not creepy about Aleksei".

RE: How should IC discrimination be handled?
The Taurons may be thugs, but it's really the filthy Sagittarons you need to watch out for.

RE: RL Anger
Nothing about it was funny. Nothing. You want to call that high horse, you do you.

RE: What Types of Games Would People Like To See?
I've always wanted to do a MUSH based on The Tribe, but playing kids has always been problematic in the MU* world, and in a really gross way.
It's almost like The Warriors, only with more mature behavior and worse fashion sense.

RE: peasoupling's Playlist
Leta is great, though I admit in my head she's Gwendolyn Christie.

RE: Characters You Enjoyed Playing
Olivia @Darkwater. She is probably the WoD character I am most proud of. Completely uninhibited, she was nobody's first choice for Spring Monarch, and yet when she was Crowned, the freehold's number of oathsworn rose dramatically, and then when her second season came around, the number sworn to the freehold was again higher than any other season. She wanted the Crown because she wanted to serve, and I've never quite been able to capture her essence again.
Ygraine @BSO. Another free spirit, Yggy was a tall, freckled, blonde braided farm girl who became the best damn ECO (fite me) on Orion, who often ended up giving people life advice. She was so insanely adorable - genuinely so, rather than being annoyingly cloying, and was given a LipWobble skill of 10 by staff. She took no shit, had a stash of condoms she used for trading goods, had inappropriate relationships and appropriate ones, and took about a year to a year and a half to get around to being with the fella who arguably would be the one the fans fanatically shipped her with if Orion was a tv show. (Other players shipped them. It was hilarious). Attacked by wolves, threw up after being forced to pilot a raptor, and one of the first to pull a gun on a skinjob. Epic.
Umai @St. Petersburg and HM. Gentle and loving and kind and a phenomenal chef. Had an /amazing/ cabal on St. Petersburg and I was incredibly sad when the game closed. Umai on HM became a Spirit Master that even the Uratha were willing to work with. I never felt like she accomplished nearly as much as she could have, but by the end of things she'd created at least one Level 5 Talisman and that's something, yeah?

RE: RL Anger
Hey smart-ass, if you want to have a conversation between yourself and your sister via Facebook, use messenger and don't post on a public wall where anyone can reply.
Mind you, if someone replies in a way that you don't like, you can ask them to stop, but don't get huffy that they butted in on a publically accessible forum unless they refuse your polite request for them to go away.

RE: Avatar / Korra game considerations
Poking around a bit, I've come to the conclusion that Republic City's major export is industry in general and transportation in particular; especially automobiles. There are no less than three major companies with headquarters there that produce automobiles:
Future Industries - primarily automobiles, but also with significant R&D for machines of war. (I have reason to believe Future Industries will have the means to become an independent company once more)
Stark - I mean, Varrick Global Industries - less focus on automobiles, more on war machines, weaponry, and general tech advancement.
Cabbage Corporation - Cheap automobiles.
We also see examples of factory jobs being an easy job to get in Korra.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

RE: Characters You Enjoyed Playing
@olsson I don't think anyone has managed the gravitas that you brought to Gabriel since. I wish your timezones weren't an issue, he and Sam had such a great relationship, and I have frequently enjoyed her realization that she has effectively married her foster dad.
