Slapfights over anime are always fun to read. I also enjoy gouging out my eyes with hot pokers.

Madoka Magica and Welcome to the N.H.K. are the only ones on my list I'd say are 'required viewing'. Both are pretty awesome.

I've yet to meet anyone who didn't like the former, and the latter had me almost in tears.

A show is dead when they make no more episodes of it.

Being good or bad has nothing to do with it.

Our definition of 'a dead show' is clearly different.

Adding another season can kill a good show sometimes.

Having no more seasons will kill a good show every time.

Sometimes it's okay for a woman to need protecting in an anime, as well. That doesn't make her a weak character.

Take Irisviel in Fate/Zero.

I really don't see how the 'combat ability' of a man or a woman determines their worth as a character.

I thought the characters made sense and everything played out in a reasonable manner.

Fate/Zero was entertaining.

I'd love to see a fantasy game based on the Black Company series.

I played Don't Starve a bit, but I never got the hang of it.

It's been a while since I watched it, but it was good stuff.

Here's a short list of anime I like. Maybe you'll like it too.

Puella Madoka Magica - Really, really great deconstruction of the magical girl genre. If you haven't watched it you're missing out. Perfect for Sailor Moon fans. Remember to watch the first three episodes in one sitting.

Space Dandy - It's by the people who made Cowboy Bebop... and is really really good. It's a parody of the genre, sort of. And a bunch of other stuff.

Attack on Titan - Though the gore would probably put some people off, the story and such are really good.

Hajime no Ippo - No gore! It's just about a young man who becomes a boxer. It's very close to 'real life'. I have no idea why I love this anime so much.

Welcome to the N.H.K. - Really, really good novel that is also a pretty good anime. It's about a lonely shut-in in Japan and his struggles. I can't reccommend this enough to anyone, fans of the genre or not.

Fate/Stay Extra - Prequel to Fate/Stay Night, and very very entertaining.

Black Lagoon - Not my absolute favorite, but it's got a lot of action and guns and the like.

Danganronpa - If you haven't played the game for PSP, watch the anime. It's also really entertaining and the gore is censored mostly. (Blood is even purple.)

Darker than Black - Not bad. It's a noir-feeling post-apocalyptic/cyberpunk style series where 'psychics' exist, but all are seriously damaged and incapable of emotion.

Hellsing - It's got vampires, vampire hunters, and a really good soundtrack.

Diet drinks won't help you lose weight. They make your body crave sugar. You should only be drinking them if you're diabetic and can't have sugar.

Starting last year, for the first time in my life my abs aren't defined and flat anymore.

I think my job is fattening me up. I need to start exercising more.

I'm at the point where I really don't have much interest in a game unless it won't have Mage as a playable sphere.

You can do so much more with them as NPC antagonists than you can with allowing them to be PCs. It solves so many problems on both ends, from PC power level to the age old 'What kind of antagonist do you throw at high end PCs?'

The answer to both? Make Mages NPCs.

I have no idea what SHH even is. Does that mean I'm not one of the cool kids?

You guys have given some interesting stuff to work on, RE: the system.

From the sound of it Coin and Co. already have something going on so I won't sling more ideas up on here since most of mine are mechanical rather than thematic at this stage.

I'm just going to write my stuff up and keep it in a nice little folder somewhere safe and snug until I get the chance to pitch it to someone.
