I hope you find one.
Feel free to put up a GoFundMe if you want to here as well because no one should have to fucking starve because of their fucking bank, that's just fucked up.
Really fucked up, dude.

Mad that, because of that job, I can't even get a second job because of the moonlighting rules at the first job -- and they know because everyone reports income to them, so unless I find something super-duper under the table, I am stuck at a single income, or take risks out in the private sector legal economy which is -- kinda iffy right now, and largely full of areas I have zero experience in, like real estate.
If you happen to be in an area with lots of people, think about inquiring at your local bar to see if they need a bar-back or a door-person. 'Round here, they are kind of desperate -- to the point where I now regularly moonlight as a door-person.
Sweet gig, too, at a local karaoke joint. Not only do I get to be put into rotation, but I also get my drinks comp'd and walk out with a cool $60 under the table. Which is not bad for 4 hours of work.
Sunday mornings sort of suck, but they were going to suck regardless.

I basically think Wamphyri, and run from there.
The first thing I would do as a Tzimisce is to modify my body into something like the Reapers in Blade II. And then, I would master Koldunic Sorcery.
So, I would look like this:
Until you piss me, off, and then it's all:
Let's call a spade a spade, then.
This is the original advertisement:
"We welcome players of all kinds, to play both established Feature Characters and exciting Original Characters. At Flights 'n Tights, the name of the game is fun and adventure. Flights 'n Tights is a haven for gay, bisexual, and queer male characters, though female characters can be emitted and open-minded straight characters are welcome too! Unlike many other games that treat even established gay, bi, and queer male characters poorly, Flights 'n Tights celebrates them. Of course, all players are welcome."
I may have been wrong to read into this that the game was calculated to be homosexual-friendly. Maybe you don't read it like that.
The first question I had was: why no women? To which the response appears to be: we don't want to. And then, the second question would be: knowing that other games have treated established homosexual, bisexual, and queer women poorly, why not celebrate women? To which, the apparently response is: OHMYGOD HOW DARE YOU HATE ON US.
Maybe I am being condescending. There are reams and reams of comic book critique focused on the gay, lesbian, bi, and queer portrayals in comics. You're no doubt aware of that. I have no doubt that @Hushicho is aware of that. And I can find no reasonable explanation as to why female PCs of any stripe aren't allowed on this game.
Maybe I am picking a fight here. I suppose I think better -- more highly? -- of people who will go out and create a protected environment for a particular group of players. They clearly have a social conscience.
But I'm not hating on the game. I don't hate it. Criticism is not hate. So, let's stop throwing about pointless hyperbole in an effort to get a rise.

They hear 'we want equal rights' and all they can grasp is 'we want to do to you what you have been doing to us'.
I think actually that they hear you can't make fun of us any more and that makes them scared because without a scapegoat they have to face the fact that they are the reason they are so pathetic and miserable.

But there are also many that don't give a fuck that you have no interest in PvP, and will take the part of a very persistent aggressor.
Let's not forget the folks that purport to have no interest in PvP, but will take the part of a very persistent aggressor ICly regardless.

It's easy I think to underestimate what something involves but to me learning the basics of various crafts makes me appreciate their depths.
You'll forgive me if I choke on the irony if this is a genuine statement.
That said, I concur. I try not to judge how easy or hard something is based on my own ease or difficulty. I've learned to listen to others about their thoughts on a topic. I do not think, for instance, that I will ever fully understand how to code, but I do enjoy reading the topics in this forum about it.
Seriously, Elphaba is poopy.
By that, I mean she deliberately exploited a glaring weakness in my PC and has now made it a central point of IC irritation for her.
These are good things, and should be celebrated. Having nowhere else to both recommend and applaud, I do so here.
@groth said in Dabbling, Mastery, Dunning–Kruger etc:
So ultimately 'understanding code' is more of a spectrum of knowledge where ultimate mastery is impossible and you always have to continually learn new things.
I love cooking and baking and, based on your analogy, I have lost my will to try to learn to code.
Fucking mixers and ovens, fuckers.

The setting for Dragon Age is very much not Lords & Ladies.

The bonus of this job is that law school is literally right across the street, so. I can just walk over when I'm done.
If you can get that paid for by the government? Great.
Otherwise, you may want to look into becoming a lawyer in another jurisdiction. I suggest North Dakota or Alaska.
Washington D.C. and other large cities is where lawyers go to die. Then you either become a King in Hell, or one of the enslaved.

@Rinel said in Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.:
Is this a common law thing? It is absolutely not the law here. Rent is due at the beginning of the term, absent law or agreement to the contrary (La. C.C. Art. 2703), and if a prior lease is continued after the cessation of the term, its term becomes indeterminate and (for purposes of residential lease) defaults to month-to-month (La. C.C. Art. 2680), meaning that rent is due at the beginning of the month.
Pretty much. It seems awfully inequitable to me that when a lease with payments due on the 15th of every month terminates, the tenant is then required to pay on the 1st of subsequent months. That means that, after the termination, you either have to pay an additional half-month rent or the landlord is out a half-month rent.
Anyhoo, my legal real world peeve: I do not enjoy having to spend time writing up subpoenae duces tecum and request for disciplinary action on fellow defense attorneys.
I, on the other hand, am happy to prosecute complaints against attorneys for failure to produce a client's file on request. This is some basic shit, motherfuckers.

... there are humans, elves, dwarves, and dragon people as Kind Of But Not Really Muslims.
How on Earth did you see the Qunari as muslim?
Sure, I suppose you can see their assimilation of other people as indicative of the old Islamic regimes in the Middle Ages, but there is a certain kind of zen-idealism and communist rhetoric to them that I adore.
The Arishok is pretty much my hero, and my go-to- when it comes to my villainous PCs. Because they are very likable villains, until you realize they are Lawful Evil.
FWIW a bunch of my clients lost at trial (and face significant challenges in post-conviction) because of the testimony of mandated reporters.
I hate being a mandatory reporter.
Granted, I do have a psychology degree and an education degree, but you really don't want a lawyer evaluating whether someone is doing something bad or nefarious to their children, especially me.
Because I believe in the evil in everyone.

I was also a big fan of DA2. Not for the gameplay, dear god, but I loved that it was just this scumbag and her scumbag friends, forced to muddle through a lot of crazy bullshit.
And that's why I liked Mass Effect. Sure, you have an earth-shattering reputation, but once you ally with Cerberus, you become scum who mingles with other scum to do shit that needs to get done.
And that's why I liked The Last of Us. "We're shady people, Joel, it's been that way for a long time now."
DA:O and DA:I? You so super-special, yes you are. Warden or Inquisitor. But in DA2? You're Hawke, who only gets recognized after saving the city from someone attempting a genocide.
I'm not going to lie, but I'm in love with the women's division at AEW.
That Nyla Rose v. Riho v. Yuka Sakazaki match was baller.
