So there's apparently animated Letterkenny now called Littlekenny...I'm about to dive into this to see what it's about.
Eh.

The proper answer is "Disco Elyisum".
That's next on my list.

- no 'I have to make money off of this somehow' pressures at all (which is a common problem with any other creative thing I do, considering how my family gets; I have lost many creative hobbies to their pressures to monetize them over the years, at which point I stop doing that thing because it's no longer fun or relaxing)
Riding on this point: MUSHing, for the most part, is free. That means that it is a hobby that everyone can enjoy without having to invest a whole lot of resources. So you get a wide smattering of people who play, which is always nice to engage in.

Initially I was mad at it for not being "Fallout in Space", but after everything I've read and your advice here, I'm prepared to accept it as something unique.
Honestly, "Fallout in Space" isn't an idea I would get behind. The Fallout series is intimately tied to Earth, in my opinion and best placed there. No, this is more like "Saints Row in Space," but with Fallout decor and camp.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a phenomenal work, but it is serious, intense, and gritty too.
Divinity 2 is a strategic slog-fest of an RPG that made me hate it within the first hour.
Civilization 6 is a forgettable 4X entry in the series.
The Outer Worlds is a breath of fresh air.

And why do YOU guys RP?
I need a distraction.
I have too many goals and ambitions. Getting online to play a little bit settles my nerves and reminds me that I don't have to be beautiful or productive or powerful or successful to be happy.
Katy is a fucking badass.
I find her to be just the worst actress, but whatevs. It's like they were looking for a female character to play the foil of Wayne and found the hottest most unfunny person ever.
Whatevs. She's a sniper.
I usually want some lighthearted fun, but then my characters end up in political positions or being really, really dour.

Then again, leave it to edgelords to complain about other people being sensitive.
Well, I’m not sure what you normally read but I don’t think Blood and Guts in High School is going to make it to best seller lists, and no one is putting on The Crackwalker these days on campuses.
Respectfully, I understand the context in which she made the comment and agree with her completely. Also respectfully, I believe you moved the goalposts to make your point.
Lackey's opinion, to me, relates to the difference between improv acting and script acting. Your opinion, to me, suggests that because we are writing something when we MUSH we are engaged in the act of writing and therefore are writing.
And, to me, both opinions are correct.

Are there even any good sources for laypeople? Something like Legal Eagle - though I know you didn't seem to thrilled with his stuff specifically earlier in the thread. I find that kind of thing fascinating but it's hard to know the pedigree of the information.
Well, Legal Eagle seems clearly aimed to entertain rather than educate. Law and Order is surprisingly a pretty decent source for a lot of basic criminal procedure. But if you are in a legal dispute of any kind, you are best served by going to see an actual lawyer.

Apparently you should write a sequel to the Hitchhiker's Guide. Because they seem like great alien species... and I giggled tremendously thinking they'd be great celestial neighbors to the Vogons.
Oh, they are existing races for the Mass Effect series.
So Lawyers, do you have a favorite case? Not necessarily yours, but one that is, I don't know.. unique in some way? Stands out?
Unfortunately, most of my interesting cases I cannot comment about. But there is a case where I got a judgment in excess of $1,000,000 because a company's owners embezzled money from it, thus causing it to go into arrears with the IRS and a lot of other creditors. Receivership cases are really cool.
Do you have any thoughts or opinions on any high profile cases that we plebs might know about? (I mean, for instance the OJ Simpson Trial but there are plenty I'm sure).
All I can say is that you should believe nothing you read on the internet about cases. Most of the articles are written by non-lawyers.
You could get with this or you could get with that.
