All my life I never understood what the gay agenda is.
And being treated as a normal human isn’t an agenda: it’s survival.

Accounting is an arcane science, but it was one that was unable to prevent Worldcom or Madoff. Those who seek to reap profit in the short term despite the long term damage will do so. Legislating around that, or attempting to do so, is a bandage on a gaping wound.
Anyhow, as I said, there are ways to make money that do not comply with or run contrary to accounting principles. Some don’t even make sense. But I don’t think all of them will carry long term harm.
That is super awesome. Go get it. We’re (me, royally) are behind you!
Cool. First, read Agrarian Justice by Thomas Paine. Then, read Adam Smith’s writing on the value and taxation of real property; it is in The Wealth of Nations.
Bottom line: the value of real property is entirely speculative, and therefore should be the basis of all taxes.
You think that accounting principles match economic ones? Because they really don’t.
I mean, we’re talking about real property. Unlike other kinds of property, including labor, it behaves very differently.
We can talk all night about this topic, as it was part of my thesis for my graduate degree and an integral part of my law practice. But maybe we should take it to DMs.
But it is an RL thing I love, so —

Yes.
Fine.
First, try to take it. Anyone stupid enough to do that will be met with violence. The justice system revolves around the idea of protecting property, not people. When the first few people show up dead, you’ve made your point.
Second, the power. You set it up. Put your peons who know better in the right places. Prop them up. Protect them and theirs. Then the system is yours.
Finally, banks and trusts. Trust funds can exist in perpetuity, even if title restrictions cannot. Set up a few trusts to do business one another, all to benefit a single actual beneficiary: your whim.
Not tough.
As someone who religiously plays / played vampires, do you really want me to describe how you can quite easily set up legal vehicles in order to maintain a vampire lord's possessions over time without resorting to the use of Disciplines?
Bleed less.
Move more.
Do whatever it takes to keep you off of the dungeon floor.

I dunno, bro. If you can't make a buck without breaking basic accounting and investment principles, maybe you're just shit at this?
Or maybe accounting and investment principles aren't the only way to make money.

Names. Very few characters are called Steve or Jen.
It's always Maximillian and Lillian.
I've never played a Maximillian or a Lillian.
My more recent WoD names: Madeleine (aka Maddy); Clarice; Ashley; Erin; Sarah (aka Shrike); and Dana. The oddest one I've played recently was "Cai." I prefer "normal" names.
Period or place names like Daithi and Piccola don't count.
I spent my last Romance day with my partner watching The Heart, Parts 1 and 2, of SPOP because she’s this beautiful, nice blonde, and I’m a fucking cat.
Sam was the hero. I don’t think badly of Arwen, of course, but I do love me Eowyn.
I like blondes.
True dat.
I was once part of a Fenrir pack as it’s Modi/Theurge. He had the Huge Size merit, Strength 5, and carried a war hammer.
And, yes, he was probably the least deadly. Negotiating with a death spirit was very cordial.
Look at how toxic we are.
I’m glad this is helping and that we could help.
Now, I go back to moaning about how fucking broken I feel because of yard work and age.

Now I just need someone who knows how code and who wants the responsibility of plotz and hosting and whatever.
I can plotz for a small group.
I have fond memories of L5R. My troupe and I played a roving band of sort-of-ronin who went from village to village selling sake. Our "leader" was a Lion Clan wrestler, and I played a shugenja with Earth magic that was the troupe's tank.
Enemy: Is that your champion?
Leader: No, that's our shugenja; she's the least violent one of us too!
Mad that, because of that job, I can't even get a second job because of the moonlighting rules at the first job -- and they know because everyone reports income to them, so unless I find something super-duper under the table, I am stuck at a single income, or take risks out in the private sector legal economy which is -- kinda iffy right now, and largely full of areas I have zero experience in, like real estate.
If you happen to be in an area with lots of people, think about inquiring at your local bar to see if they need a bar-back or a door-person. 'Round here, they are kind of desperate -- to the point where I now regularly moonlight as a door-person.
Sweet gig, too, at a local karaoke joint. Not only do I get to be put into rotation, but I also get my drinks comp'd and walk out with a cool $60 under the table. Which is not bad for 4 hours of work.
Sunday mornings sort of suck, but they were going to suck regardless.
Probably not vampire because you'd be the only person I trusted to run vampire in a way that wouldn't make me grind my teeth.
We can talk about it another thread, but I'd probably go with limiting the number of available Covenants, or go with a set that makes sense for the area.
I hope you find one.
Feel free to put up a GoFundMe if you want to here as well because no one should have to fucking starve because of their fucking bank, that's just fucked up.
Really fucked up, dude.
Uh, I clearly said Irraka, not Bastet.
Please see Gift of Change: Skin Thief (Cunning).
You see a Bastet, which is what an Irraka would want you to see.
(I miss playing an Uratha; their Gifts were just so mean.)
I know you're venting. This is not meant to belittle how you feel.
Have you thought about taking your business elsewhere? Because I over-drafted hard with my bank and was not charged because they know I have money, but the timing was poor.
Smart banks know that waiving overdraft fees will keep and attract clients.
