There is now a 90 day moratorium on second alts of any kind.
You can still drop character #1 and create a second character, I assume?

At some point during Tyme's heyday we had the bright idea (?) we should run an alternate timeline where Lews Therin Telamon had taken over Rand's mind and had established a new order of both male and female channelers.
Fascinating! I think I do remember @Seraphim73 mentioning that.

Tai Sedai
My theme limitations are showing-- Tai Sedai?
Also, @Seraphim73 -- I get that, which is why a post-Last Battle does seem interesting because canon happened; we can all say canon happened, but what comes next is a bit more open to PCs to craft/create. I admit, that sounds like a really cool time period to pick up with because everyone can agree to established canon, but also have this sense of wide-openness that comes from stepping into the aftermath of something.
@seraphim73 said in Wheel of Time MU*:
I'm also a big fan of the Mirror Universe Method
Yeah, but Cuendillar did that, and it felt like you eventually just kind of pad events to avoid the Dragon rising and the Last Battle ensuing. I feel like you end up in this weird holding pattern that feels awkward and forced.
@popes said in Wheel of Time MU*:
Age. Of. Legends.
I think Age of Legends would be cool, but I think it strays back into the what are the expectations of a Wheel of Time game. There might be enough there to keep people interested, but there would also be some things so far removed that it might be better just to make a futuristic fantasy game at that point. I don't know; I'd play it, but I have been longing for a futuristic fantasy setting for a couple months now.
So the question is—do you focus on the years before the books? Do you venture into the after the Last Battle (wtf does that even look like)?
@arkandel said in Wheel of Time MU*:
But @seraphim73 probably remembers the WoT MUD we were on
Totally random aside, but I got to admit, it's super cute when people reminisce about A Moment in Tyme. @Seraphim73 told me he's reading all his old logs (which I might make him show me so I can go: omg, did we all really RP like that?!). So adorbs. ANYWAY.
Honestly, I'd be curious to see how a WoT game might work just using a traits system and pocket dice. I mean... I might be high off an exhausting week and it's Friday, so CALL ME CRAZY, but I'd check it out.
@dvoraen and @Arkandel You might ask @Seraphim73, as he has quite a knowledge set on how to adapt FS3 for all manner of themes much to Fara's BIG SIGHS. He's made it work for magic on three different themes so far (futuristic fantasy, Dieselpunk fantasy, and urban fantasy). He at least knows the limitations and how to step around some of those limitations.
While I do not have the time to RUN a game, I am happy to PLAY on a Wheel of Time MUSH.
Also, I also offer my CSS for Ares skills.
whispers I like the pretty.
EDITED: omg, I should not type before coffee
A year ago...
An archeologist is bound to a post, standing on the rocky ground of a Mediterranean island, where he must now watch helplessly as officers of the Drachenordnung gather around an artifact of great power. It is beautiful golden chest crowned with twin sphinxes, wings arched back in a graceful display; the sand dusting its surface does nothing to tarnish its radiance. But he knows that there is death inside.
Greedily, a D.O. officer orders that the chest be opened, unaware of what lurks beneath that lid.
The archeologist has almost no time to turn to his companion, shouting, "Close your eyes!"
Then the lid opens—
AND NOW, THE NEXT GREAT ADVENTURE... — Starting June 6th
The Drachenordnung have been upsetting ancient tombs and cities throughout the Eastern Mediterranean, seeking artifacts of power that may bolster its continued expansion throughout Europe. To upset their efforts, the Sky Guard arrives off the coast of Heraklion, Crete, placing them in the heart of this history-rich region.
But old enemies return using abhorrent magic to raise the dead and aid in their pursuit of an ancient mystery that may lead to a long lost city.
The Sky Guard must not only battle the forces of the D.O. and their ever-expanding influence, but also race them through boobytrapped tombs, solve ancient puzzles, and save history itself from being used to further the fascist cause.
So weigh your options, because now is the perfect time to fly The Savage Skies.
As I know some folks are currently not logging into games much these days, I wanted to share this post here, too:
Hello lovelies,
We wanted to put up some words of appreciation, encouragement, and reassurances. It has been a bit of a mixed-up world lately, and we are right there with you when it comes to waxing and waning inspiration and creativity. We wanted to reassure you that we do not have any expectations for players right now, and want to make sure that this game is here to have fun without too much obligations or requirements.
It can be hard some days to log in, and even harder to feel like there's anything more to do than check in, talk to some folks socially, and then get some rest. We want to make sure that TSS is here for Happy Fun Times and not to feel like "one more obligation." We are going to focus on one-off adventures, some fun artifact hijinks, and other less-demanding plots to minimize the feel of "work" that sometimes games can feel like. The metaplot in Austria and Czechoslovakia will keep plugging along, but we're relaxing on timelines. Czechoslovakia is all about a "danger adjacent" instead of "always at risk" the way Spain was. Have fun with any kind of RP you need right now!
We've decided not to run the idle sweep until the end of May.
We are always so thankful to have you all here. If you need anything from us, let us know! We're always here to help you find fun and an escape.

And third, we're it. This board has proved highly effective in dealing with this dude, as has the Discord groups that many of us are in. We talk. When it's bad enough, we act. And if there's anything to be learned from this mess, it's that we're actually pretty good at connecting dots and dealing with things. We can pat ourselves on the back for that. No one started up the old chestnuts about manning up or dealing with it or keep this private. We've proved that yes, we can in fact band together when necessary. And that makes me a happy musher.
This came up in the PMs I had with this player who continued to proclaim that he hadn't violated any TSS policies. He was already on our watchlist after what happened with Kestrel, and after he was paging me borderline creepy pages about my poly character -- @Kestrel and I were talking about "gut feelings" earlier today, and I didn't trust my gut with my own interactions with the player.
So, this thread helped me narrow in on what was making me uncomfortable, and why his interactions so far on the game had set me on edge. In my conversation with this player before he was asked to depart TSS, I was very pointed with him that the MU* community is just that... a community. If the community takes issues with how you're acting, then maybe you should... change it?
Things of interest--
GirlCalledBlu
Real sorry to see that you didn't take my advice to heart about trying to find a way to change your behavior. This is the escalation that we were talking about-- please do not try to "go around" Faraday's fixes. It violates the purposes of those. Game-runners have every right to have players depart their game, either willingly or with bans. You attempting to go around those measures is poor form.
ZombieKerouac
I never said I was going to do it. I was just letting you know the truth of the matter.
Not once did I say that is what I was going to do to your game. In fact have you seen me claim any rosters on Savage? Have you seen me inundate your game with guest logins? Nope.
Because you and rome actually discussed things and handled them like adults. And didn't outright say that I would never be allowed back. Just that I needed to change the behavior that you believe is going to be shown on every game. Despite not showing that behavior on yours. Even after banning me despite not having violated any of your games policies.
But painting a picture that there was an issue with TSS when there wasn't? And acting as if I had been a dickbag to the player base at large on that game..were false statements by both you and your husband
I don't log into this new Wora often. But people do let me know when there is shit talking going on about me. Some of them even players on your game.
So I got curious, figured I would see the shit talking being said. And the false claims of causing issues on TSS being made.
GirlCalledBlu
Have you signed onto guests and claimed rosters to harass other games?
ZombieKerouac
When?
I already told you that I signed into a guest account when they banned me on GH. The rosters on GH? That I can't much claim credit for. As that was an old friend who I used to code with.
But have I since? Not so much.
In fact, I hadn't for about a day when you decided to ban me from TSS despite having violated no policies.
GirlCalledBlu
Oh, dude. You know when. Please don't play that game with me. Not only does it make you look like an ass, it makes you look like an idiot. You were harassing GH less than 24 hours from when we talked. So, let's just totally agree that you violated a game's security system so you could be a dick.
I know because I was on GH at the time when Guests were locked down. And even if it wasn't you who were doing the roster shit, you still knew it was happening and harassed KB and AM about it; dick move.
So, you totally did violate one of our policies: don't be an ass
@Ninjakitten I noted to @mietze that he has been solely communicating to me-- even about @Seraphim73. I wasn't reading much into it, but could be part of his MO.
@Taika probably doesn’t matter in the long run.
@Taika said in A bit of trouble on Firefly:
Him and some friend of his generically known(?) as Kitty (she wasn't banned, but asked to leave until we opened cause woah). In fact those two almost kept the game from opening entirely cause if their soul-sucking bs.
Uhhh. Is that the same Kitty who was the crazy staffer on Generations of Darkness? Because Kitty + Playing with us on Star Wars. My suspicions deepen—
Every time he calls Faraday, "Lynn," it creeps me out.
️I'm not even sure what he's talking about here-- but OK.
ZombieKerouac
First off, There was no issue on TSS. you asked me to leave so I did.
And second? Lynn can say its a bug and requires just a simple patch all she wants. But even she knows there are ways around it. From ghosted IPs to proxy sites and other means as well.
Just pointing out the falsehoods in your posting. And in the false hopes that Lynn aka faraday is givin you all about how her platform is the safest out there.
Though thank you for already having made your decision before we ever even spoke on game. And for your husband misrepresenting what occured. Since there were no issues with me on your game. No policy violations.
Funny enough, I know you both from Star wars.
Anyways enjoy your weekend Blu. And look forward to talking again sometime.
Alright. The situation has been handled on TSS. Thanks for the information!
