Speculatores - Spies. Shapechangers (via Obfuscate, Animalism, Protean or other means) these characters will need high mental fortitude, and social mutability. Caesar used them to infiltrate an enemy, learn, and report - so will The Lancea Sanctum require them to do the same.

Exploratores - Scouts. Cartographers. (via Animalism, Auspex, or other means) these characters will know The Land, The Flora and Fauna, The People. They will need physical fortitude, as well as mental mutability. Caesar used them to know the land he would conquer, to learn the dangers of what was in front of his Great Red Machine, and so will The Lancea Sanctum require them to do the same.

Oxosi: An African God of The Hunt. Hounds of Acaeton of Gangrel, Adroanzi and Nocktuku of Nosferatu, Amara Havana of Daeva, Adrestoi of Ventrue, and the Norvegi of Mekhet are all examples of what will work best, as far as bloodlines, they are not rules but rather guidelines to bring together different personalities and tactics to the Greatest Ritual: The Hunt. This isn't a group of humanitarians. These figures live on the past fears of Man; heightening the reason Man huddled around a fire in the night, and never went anywhere alone. They hunt, kill, skin and use the parts of their Prey to further their nightly agenda. Krieg is known widely within The Lance, and Invictus, for favoring The Most Dangerous. Within the Lance, HOW these figures get things done is not nearly as important as the result. The leaders within The Lance have sent them to Reno based on past merits.

The Lodge of Bones: The Bear Lodge, The Hunt Club, Les Mysteres. Do you really think vampires and werewolves are the scariest The World of Darkness has to offer? Man is the Ultimate Hunter. Be it for food, for prestige, for sport or because The Spirits tell you to do it. It is done. The Lance is everywhere, and like Caesar's Legions; it is made up of thousands of personalities from a plethora of backgrounds - and not all of them are Kindred, or even know that they belong to The Lance. The Lodge of Bones within Reno will form outside of the Oxosi; and will have the same zeal of The Hunt that the Kindred above do. Maybe not all of them hunt things of flesh-and-blood, either.

      @Sammi

It could be several things. From the command of highers based on merit, to Boons owed higher ups, or the draw for Great Prey - such as werewolves, lore, or more dangerous humans.

It is also an opportunity for such ageless hunters to grow their repertoire, and expand their reputations.

    • Exploratores, Speculatores, and Oxosi: RenoMush

      Greetings,

Not sure if this is the correct place for this post but, due to the recent events unfolded by @Ganymede I am seeking certain characters to join mine own in establishing a presence within Nevada, beside Krieg of Red Berlin.

      Character Types:

                          * Speculatores - Spies. Shapechangers (via Obfuscate, Animalism, Protean or other means) these characters will need high mental fortitude, and social mutability. Caesar used them to infiltrate an enemy, learn, and report - so will The Lancea Sanctum require them to do the same.

                           * Exploratores - Scouts.

                           * Oxosi: An African God of The Hunt. My online times vary, but mostly throughout the week after 1800EST I should be home, and able to log in. If you are having trouble finding me on Reno, feel free to message me here any questions, ideas, et cetera.

the great thing about a conspiracy theorist in WoD of any flavor is they can be exactly right about the conspiracies existing but completely wrong about the particulars at the same time.

Uses garlic on vampires, only learns when his arms are ripped off that, that is bullshit information.

This is such a trope in basically any urban fantasy EVER, that I wonder if any modern person would actually think: "Vampires are real! I'll ward them off with garlic!"

ETA Actually that's an interesting thought...

It would actually work to repel The Knights of St. Martin, and Morbus. Or rather, could be formed as a flaw just as it was in OWoD. My Tzimisce was repelled by garlic, due to heightened senses from Auspex.

My favorite depiction of this scenario is in the more modern Fright Night, where the Hunter tries to use a cross to repel the Vampire. The sinister humor is real.

Fuck those mornings on your day off where you get up and go look at your sexy-self in the mirror right after morning-piss, right before morning-shower and your boss calls you telling you you're promoted, better pay, more responsibility, and that you have to come in today.

Fuck the days where you purposefully drop your phone into the toilet without thinking about the consequences.

I have never heard of this before, so I am choosing to believe that I'm hearing about a kids show set in an action-playset far future. Camazotz: Knights of the Forever Tales.

Sons and daughters of a giant Ancestor/King of the Underworld who resides in the House of Bats and grows fat on blood, fear and Bad Things. Possible servant of an Elder God-like being called 'Xibalba'.

@Coin now has all of our attentions.

How would this sell action figures? Get out of my office!

      The same as Cthulu.

I would like to see Shifter oWoD v20. But with a focus on the 'lesser' breeds, such as Corax, Nuwisha, Ratkin and Kitsune. Also the Camazotz. Plzkthx.

And ex and I wrote half a Breedbook for the Camazotz. We had weird Auspices based on how the character was born (by Caesarean, breech, etc.). We also changed up their duty a little bit and made them the emissaries of Gaia to the Underworld (because Camazotz). So they had a lot of Merits and Gifts and Rites that related to the Underworld and Wraiths. I still have all of it on my computer.

Someone make a Camazotz game plz.

      I second this.
