Yep. For me I do it high on rooftops, staring out over everything and I recognize I am doing it, mentally shrug and say, "Eh. This is nice I guess."

Can someone explain hyperfocus to me because I'm not sure I have this, unless it happens super rarely. Like, I read Gideon the Ninth in a single night instead of sleeping because it was one of the best books I'd read in a long time, but that is the sort of thing that happens, like, every few years. I can't think of anything I do where I don't notice the time passing, outside of stuff like games that are literally designed to put you into that state of flow (or, again, books that grab me every few years).
I got'chu, pimp.
Hyperfocus is Flow, which is also Mushin. We engage constantly, and we pop in and out of it. We do it so often that sometimes? We don't even recognize it's happening and so a whole day can disappear, two days, more. People think we are psychotic.
Meanwhile: Neurotypical peeps do it so rarely they FEEL Flow, and usually it is like unbuckling the belt in a roller coast because your brain is like: lolol, welcome to the party I'm driving. That is rare for them. For us? That's everyday.

Hold on.
So like, wandering to the refrigerator and staring at all the things you could make but not having the energy to do any cooking so you eat a spoonful of peanut butter and hope that's enough protein for the night...
...that's a thing? It's not just being so lazy you starve yourself?
No, no. That's a thing. Welcome to the club.

Maaaan, I never realized so many people had feelings regarding tedious details.

RE: What Types of Games Would People Like To See?
Demon: The Fallen. End Times. Focus on stopping the Dread King Alliance from forming, or working after they DO align to protect the last humans on Earth.

I'm a bit high, 225 ft actually, so I may seem a bit airheaded but, uh, what do you actually need? I PM and Trade. You always use the best tool you have access to, for the job, and anything is a hammer if you need one in a pinch.
Advice from Up High:
- No one is inherently special.
- Meritocratic mindset will do you wonders.
- Be swift to establish a Code of Conduct.
- If someone has a legit problem with your way of doing things, fire them. Employment at Will, and all that.
I'll see if I can come up with more when I'm uh, not as high. You know?

More certs. DO ALL THE CERTS.
Buy some Hackathon packages, do mixtapes of OSHA Certs and IS Certs! Do them all. Feed the bees.

I hate my ADD days.
Today is one.
Yesterday just sort of flew by at work. I felt like crap. I had nothing to do. But I was able to focus and go and get it done.
Today? I'm jittery and frustrated and even though I'm striving to just.do.things.....nothing is scratching the unfocused itch and I look at the clock after what feels like an eternity and it's.......fifteen minutes.
It feels like a literal ache, like noise at the base of my skull.
The Buzzing Bees, yeah. Use music. Rhythm. Find what makes you get all achey and wanna dance, get up, jump around, get your heart beating hard and then headbutt your job again.
Unfortunately, at my job I can't really. We finally got music approved but it's got to be kept quiet, no lyrics, and stay pretty chill. I do security work in an ops center. I need to listen out for phones and radios.
Overall all the monitors and cameras and such were great for me but I'm still so all over the place that when it's quiet I just sort of still jitter like okay okay okay okay okay okay.....what now??
I used to do ViPSEC. I feel you. I left, I couldn't take the buzz anymore, as well as guarding shitty rich kids.
Bring a pad and start writing, mang.

I use Logic, and other speedlyricists. The Rugged Man, and others.
Pay attention to the lyrics, listen to them, keep pace in your head and just. Apply it.

Here's what I want y'all to do: Find the trigger. The song. The Button. Find what makes you Ding, and fucking train that. People that have written with me have seen when I hit that trance, and pump pages out. Now I do that at work, and pump projects out.
Find your trigger. Make yourself Ding, and everyone knows boxing. Everyone knows what that bell means.
