So a European game retailer might have leaked that The Last of Us 2 will be out on September 27th.
No confirmation but it is an interesting tidbit for those waiting for the game.

@sockmonkey
He did yeah. In fact there was a news blurb in the movie that called it Ocean's 7-11 and I think it was right. It was great.
@Ghost
Given how amazing Paradox has been as a dev and publisher, I think that the World of Darkness IPs are going to get some amazing love that they deserve. Here's crossing my fingers for a Wraith-souls style game, because I think that would be amazing.
Edit: Amazing.

@Tyche I find it "interesting" that she posts her resume, effectively offering her services as a consultant to help video game companies avoid "problematic" content, but then also leads the charge on trying to publicly shame companies about "problematic" content.
"You need to buy my exterminator services."
"I don't have a pest problem."
...salesman presses a button on a remote control.
"You do now."Sarkeesian is a bit of a carpetbagger. Best of luck to her for publicly attacking the companies she hopes that will hire her.
I applaud your use of carpetbagger. It was very appropriate.
Going to say, Season 2 Jessica Jones really hit some great marks with their soundtracks and music composition. Much better than Season 1 I think.
@Lotherio
You know my first time playing FF through I kept Black Belt with the Iron Nunchuks the whole game thinking "why did they not give me any upgraded weapons for him?" and then gave him a sword after his promotion. It was only later when my grandmother was playing it that she told me, "he hits harder without weapons."
I felt so dumb.
Did anyone else enjoy the Supernatural/Scooby Doo mashup? That was...I really enjoyed it.
OKay so Perfect Strangers meets Boon Dock Saints. Balki Bartokomous moves in with his cousin Larry, tragedy happens, and then all hell breaks loose Mypos style.
If you're a fan of rogue-like RPG style games with a twist of Slay the Spire card action, check out Griftlands on Steam. It's not available yet but looks like it will have a lot of promise. Klei is doing the game - that's the devs of Don't Starve and Oxygen Not Included.

I often find people getting upset at delays confusing. I encourage delays if it will make the game better. I do not think the pre-order culture in the gaming industry is consistent in that it actually helps make better games, though. It usually seems like just a way for the game publisher to dig as deep into the pockets of the player as possible.
Pre-order culture also seems to create some sense of entitlement too. I've known people who were just absolute in that, "I bought my game and you said it would come out on this date. You lied, time to cancel my pre-order and tell everyone I know to cancel theirs too."
But I am guilty of indulging in this culture. There are only two companies that I would find myself willing to preorder from, and of the two only one of them without actually playing in a beta test. That first one is CD Project Red. I pre-ordered The Witcher 3 with no regrets, and it is the way that the company presents itself and their philosophy towards game-design that gives me confidence in my pre-order for Cyberpunk.
The other, oddly enough, is Ubisoft, but I think it's because of the availability of betas they offer. I have pre-ordered Ghost Recon: Breakpoint because I got to play it and that helped finalized my decision on if it was worth the price point of sale or not.
I saw one once that had one that stuck with me, it was:
The jumper's body hit the pavement and exploded like a garbage bag full of beef stew.

Star Citizen. I can't play the stupid game that I paid for numerous times over because it never ever will be released. But at least I have a lot of pretend spaceships I can't fly. YAY!
I have a friend who has $5000 in ships for that game and I keep telling him that he'll never get to go anywhere in them. He flips me off a lot.
Everyone has their priorities. For me, Satoru Itawa was one of the few game company executives that was worth respecting. He held a firm believe that video games should be fun, and fun for everyone.
I want to toss this in here in the waning days of the Steam sale. If you like narrative story games, Life Is Strange is just 5 bucks for all 5 episodes. Worth picking up and the story is rather well done.
Guys. If you ever, EVER have an alarm company tell you that the monitored alarm panel you have connected to your fire system in your home, does not require two lines of communication, get a new alarm company. They are lying.
In addition - digital phone lines/VOIP are not reliable. If your system uses them pay extra for the cellular module.

I have not read other's replies in this forum but I will offer my thoughts on this:
I had a character on The Reach that I did not make a wiki for, because mostly I hated the wiki they used but also because by that point I had gotten pretty lazy about keeping wikis up to date and I stopped caring.
When I got into RP with the character I had noticed a huge difference in the RP that I received. People were more interested in meeting the character and there were fewer slip outs during scenes because there was actually genuine curiosity. I had one scene where another character kept trying to figure out precisely what my character was in terms of splat, by discreet questioning and the subtle use of powers.
I had more fun on that character than on my other Reach characters precisely because people could not be 100% certain whom or what they were dealing with. I think in this case the whole keeping up with wikis and adding PBs was more harmful to creating RP than facilitating it.
Now to contrast, RFK used wikis and PBs quite openly but also made it policy that what was on the wiki was in-character information that could be reasonably discovered about your character without in-depth investigations. This meant people were more circumspect about went into their wiki and how they treated it. Since it was a single sphere game there was no need for some kind of OOC Masq - and it is here that I think wikis worked best. At a glance, you could get an idea of things known about a character, their status, and other details without having to spend time investigating it and in these cases I saw these things generate quite a bit of RP.
