      @Karmageddon

All those avenues to scratch those itches. I get shipping characters that don't actually hook up, but I don't understand completely breaking the established character to do so.

Fenris/Anders is something that would just never happen in the established whatever. Canon? Universe? So if you really really need to scratch that glowing elf/whiny mfer itch, make up your own whiny mfer or glowing elf.

Or ignore me and make a game to play out your random fetish, inviting other people to come be supporting extras without admitting up front they will be extras in your random fetish play. Apparently, that's the choice people are going with.

Not only that, but a glance at the site indicates Anders is chillin in Skyhold? With Cassandra? And I guess she hasn't broken him in half and tossed him over the wall for Reasons. If you are going to insist on playing canon characters, play them.

Popped in just out of curiosity (not going to play with those major characters as PCs).

Noooo. Someone be smart enough not to do this! I would love to dick around in a Thedas setting. Just, not with a bunch of canon characters.

@Andruil I have a question. I see logs with core characters from the video games in them. Are the canon characters from the video games being played as PCs or Feature Characters by staff or others?

I love chai tea. That smell, though.

I love it for fragrant green loose tea! I haven't tried Rishi's black teas, I dunno. For breakfast blends or earl grey I'm fine with bags, I can't tell a difference.

Loose, I buy Rishi: green/white with jasmine or peach. Republic of Tea is pretty good, too.

He really doesn't. It's weird and a little terrifying.

You know, old testament terror. What do they call that? Awe.

My mundane superpower is the ability to find things. I am really good at finding things. (spoiler, the secret is to look under things)

It's not an appropriate place for half the thread, then, right? You're welcome.

@Thenomain Ugh I reflexively tried to downvote this. Imagine me doing it in my mind, as hard as I've ever done anything.

People get jealous when other people are getting attention. That doesn't change with titles, from either side.

Truthfully I think a lot of my hanging around was this was one of the only non WoD places that had something going on. The lack of non supernatural/WoD environments with activity means you're willing to expand your tolerance of ham in order to be able to play something.

That's so depressing, yet true. People are willing to take punishment or humor some self-centered staffer's bullshit because the game provides them with an outlet. In this I'm pretty sure sometimes MUing is a good description of what it's like dating Charlie Sheen.

      He called me names
      He slapped me around
      He probably gave me HIV
...but I got to drive his Porsche on Thursdays

I mean it sounds like people were also having fun on this game. They weren't enduring a grinding boot heel in the back of their necks just to cradle a few poses between dirty paws that the staff chars dropped from their table.

MU players are so goddamned dramatic. I guess that's not really surprising.

    • RE: Necessary tools for running plots as a non-staff player?

@WTFE Arx has this, wherein players can append a red paragraph onto a perm room description via the event system, so you can note what is changed, or what is going on during the event : décor, partiers, fire. Whatever.
